It happened the same to me with the ink sprays when I started using them, the same that you said, I didn't like the backgrounds, they seemed ugly and muddy to me, but then I learned that it was because I was mixing the wrong colours. I watched the video by Dyan Reaveley where she explains her colour theory and I learned how to mix colours. She said there are 2 cool families: blues and greens (yellow goes with greens) and 2 warm families: oranges, and reds-pinks. Purples are the sin bin. So cools can be mixed with cools and warms with warms. Purples can only be mixed with 1colour from the blue family and 1 from the red-pink family. If you mix other way she says you will get mud and that was what was happening to me. May be it can help you if you watch her video, you can find it in her channel ;D Anyway, I think your page ended up looking great!
Thanks for the tip. I know about color theory and I often mention the thing with mud in my videos, but it is different with the Oxides... Because of the spray effect you get a fine mist of color all over your work. That means when I spray blue on a dried warm background it tones down everything. And that is the problem. So in my eyes the sprays are just are marketing product. You spend money for nothing. The ink pads are way better.
@@SusanneRose Yes any thing you can share would be great! I truly enjoy your channel! I just think you are so talented with your art and I get so many helpful tips!
I found with the Distress sprays I spray only cool colors on a page or warm colors on a page (to avoid mud) or dry between layers before spraying and that also avoids mud
Thanks , that's just the tutorial I was looking for. I love how the journal turned out and of course your page came out beautiful as usual. Thanks for sharing. Have a super fantastic day 💜💜💜✌✌Sherry
not sure if anyone gives a shit but if you guys are bored like me atm you can watch all of the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my brother for the last couple of weeks xD
Happy you like my videos. Unfortunately there is no stockist in the US, but we are able to ship to the US again from September 15th! Unfortunately only by sea, as still less planes are flying. So shipping time is at least 4-8weeks, depending on where you are located.
Hi Tammy. No she can't she only is allowed (as a private person) to ship a parcel. And that's expensive and now it's even more expensive, because you have to pay extra because of Corona! I so hope shipping of goods will be possible soon!
Just a thought: you might like your results better with the sprays if you misted the paper before spraying the ink. I often forget this step. You may have done it and i didn’t se it. Sprays are tricky…

I just love all of your videos! Do you know if anywhere in the U.S that sells the rubber dance stamps?

I just love that grid stamp!! If I ship to my cousin in Germany, can she mail to the U.S? Or is ALL mail to U.S. cut off?

Thanks for the tip! Will try it!
gesso doesn't work with oxides?
Not really good. Only if you mix it with water. Pure it never dries...
