If you were to against this batch all the awards that you recieved in grade school cheering would go to them. Tell your batchmates don’t shit talk since, Wala pa naman kayo sa HS cheering. Pag kayo natalo next yr HAHA nalang and, Grade 7 this yr won 2nd place.

Grade 10 should have won Best Band. Who tf was judging this crap? Their set was nice, plus theyre the best sounding band out of the four. They should stop getting deaf idiots as judges. Hold your chin up Grade 10 band, that was your award. Not Grade 9!
Here's the truth. Remember when Alteo gathered almost all awards? Yeah. they had to fix that by distributing the awards to different batches to make it fair. That was the truth. That's why we thought we lost although we performed well. Other batches did good too, they truly deserved the awards. But for Grade 9's case, they seem equal imo with our band, their guitar was good while our drummer was good. *-Why did I make a long essay discussing about the awards lol-*
If I were to be objective, out of all the performances I just watched, this obviously would win but given that you had underwhelming competition (cept maybe for Grade 7) and if we were to compare this to past Grade 10 performances (or even say a batch from the early 2000's), I felt this was a bit lacking and I've judged countless times. If say we were to pit this batch against say Batch 2020 (Ultima Atlantea) or even Batch 2019 (Diyes Stellares), this would be blown out of the water. So my main question would be, was there enough time to practice because judging by the performances this year it looked like it wasn't up to par as past years. What happened? Please take this criticism as constructive but nevertheless, congratulations are in order so Cheers to Grade 10, Batch 2022! If there will ever be a cheering competition for the upcoming school year, I hope that the batches can do better.
The performance was crammed. We had to finish half of the cheers’ actions in around 5 days before the competition and in fact, changes were made during the day itself. Comparing our practices to Diyes Stellares, I heard that they finished everything in just 2 weeks similar to what Verano Brillante did. Verano came in prepared because the batch was really cooperative while some of the people in Batch 2022 took it seriously when it was the final week before cheering. About Ultima Atlantea, they also crammed their performance but had creative actions that fit perfectly in for their advocacy. Our batch’s problem was cramming the squad’s actions but nevertheless, it was good enough to finish the race.
Probably can’t be an excuse because Verano finished in November but unlike the past competitions practice dates, December was completely a month without practice and everything had to be continued during January right after Christmas break.
@@kurokawakane Figured there was some sort of cramming issue and to think this was held if I'm not mistaken last week of January when during our time, cheering was September or October. I feel a lull in practices can lead to people forget, and seeing one of the comments where practices were crammed across all grades makes it definitely harder to get things polished. I think one more issue I see in general is that batches try to outdo each other with so many hand props that if a mistake happens, it's very visible (esp. if practices don't suffice). I actually said this is one of my talks that hopefully our themes for cheering also change, it's so tiring to hear too fantastical names and ethereal themes. I wanna see some sort of throwback to something that talks about the batch and what makes them different. In fact I would love bringing back Pop culture to the mix or something strong and modern because so many years of the same thing over and over gets tiring. Thanks for the explanation though, it definitely clarifies my queries. Congrats again!
