This mashup was done beforehand. He took the instrumental to Pray and an acapella to Where You Are and combined them. In the chorus, he chopped up parts of the vocal. The vocal is also pitched to the same key as Pray.
The JOSS mashup doesn’t isolate the vocals for Where You Are…rather it’s a literal mashup of the songs, vocals and instrumentals of each playing at the same time to where the sound is muddled at parts. In my opinion, it’s not for me-it seems amateur where Illenium’s sounds professional.

It’s just a mashup with the vocals of Where You Are over the instrumental of Pray. Hence “Where You Are x Pray”
