It's the kind of story that gives one the feeling, even if fleeting, of being truly invincible.

When you google “napoleon painting meaning” it literally directs you here but no wonder, the videos great- it covers a lot in a short amount of time!
Excellent video! Very good explanation :-)
Thanks, glad you enjoyed!
J.T.W. Turner said his “Hannibal Crossing the Alps” was his answer to David’s “Napoleon….” I think of that each time I see this painting, and though I realize Turner’s romantic, wispy, impressionistic approach has its merits, it pales in comparison with David’s genius. Every time I look at the painting above, I find myself struggling to find fault with it.
His use of color (the red of Napoleon’s cloak is no joke), the horse (easily one of the best renditions of that animal I’ve ever seen), and the overall geometry of the composition (it’s in the same league with Raphael and Titian). Even if it’s not to your taste, maybe you prefer Turner’s version, for example, one could not truthfully say it’s a masterpiece.
I don’t see anything wrong with this image can somebody PLEASE explain?! :(
SAMEE
Really nice video! 😊
Also, that Red color looks so good.
What is
Beautiful art.
What is it
Did goya paint napoleon?
Wait HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE!?
Thinking the same
Learn about history
@@klampassn9987 well I mean why does Napoleon want to connect himself with the Holy Roman Empire if he wanted to be like Caesar and Alexander
@@ucifer_c3036 Because the Roman Empire was considered the greatest empire of the West that has ever been seen, it became the motif of many European rulers to align with them as successors. During this time the undisputed "inheritor" was the Holy Roman Empire, even if they did decline, they are still reminiscent as something of importance, and there's also the fact that France has a great connection to the HRE.
What am I looking at I need a hint please?

How do these painters know what do they have to paint? Do the army take these people with them to the war and let them see the whole thing or they wait for the news of the battle from the army generals?
