Lol movies don't have to be realistic and characters, just like regular people, won't make the best decisions all the time. For what it was a low budget movie on a free platform it was a good time.
Lol I completely agree, movies don't have to be realistic. For example. Menace II Society is a fictional movie that's based on a realistic setting. Some of the characters in the movie make dumb decisions however, not every character in the movie is written to be an idiot (unless it's a comedy) or start off very smart and turn into an idiot only to give the protagonist a chance to win. But I agree that the production quality of the movie was good. I just wasn't a fan of the storytelling.
It’s one of the best films of the year. Btw, young people move to LA unprepared ALL of the time. Lol. ALL of the characters ARE FLAWED just like True Romance. How in the world is the film “Booty Juice” in your opinion when you had a stream of good things to say about it and pointed out in the beginning of your video?! 😑
Thanks for your comment. But lol to suggest that it was one of the best films this year is a huge stretch. The movie wasn't horrible on the level of Pootie Tang or Boo a Madea Halloween, but the plot (in my opinion) was beyond bad considering that the movie seemingly had a nice budget to work with. For me, it was the equivalent of serving a nicely seared steak on a garbage can lid with dumpster juice on it. And there's a difference between a movie having flawed characters and characters that completely lack common sense. Sure people move to LA prepared all the time and more times than not, life doesn't work out how they dream. Yet this movie didn't present itself as a cautionary tale. (In my opinion) this movie is on the same level as Queen and Slim when it comes to the stupid decisions that the main characters made.
@@StayTunedReviews Queen and Slim is based on true life social commentary. Cinnamon is a twisted absurdist love story. Two totally different stories… film won ABFF and is getting rave reviews for a reason. 🤷🏾♂️
@@Darkanent but I compared the two movies specifically on the stupid decisions that the main characters made on both movies. Social commentary movies can be made without dumbing down the characters or abandoning the character development for key characters that could make a difference in the outcome of the story. IE- Queen being a lawyer that was savvy enough to get her pimp uncle off of a murder charge, but her knack for knowing the law, having common sense and self preservation fails at nearly every turn when she's on the run with Slim. She might as well not even been a lawyer in the movie if there would be no payoff for it towards the end of the movie. And because it was a social commentary movie, what better way for it to end then to have Queen represent Slim after he was arrested for killing the cop? Queen coulda exposed how crooked the criminal justice system is to the average viewer and the movie coulda been so much more than what it was. Nevertheless, Queen and Slim got the same level of praise that Cinnamon has been getting despite its numerous flaws.
@@StayTunedReviews hey, I’m with you 100% on Queen and Slim. It was without a doubt one of the worst films EVER made. From the casting to the story as well as the plot. It truly was tripe. Cinnamon is a much better film in my opinion. Of course there may be others who disagree and agree.
Cinnamon was a sequel when Jukebox left the Thomas family after Marvin death and before Jukebox became a crooked cop. I'm glad that Eddie got Jodie song on the radio. I wonder if Eddie bled out and died. I gave the movie Cinnamon a solid 7.
I’m up googling is the movie supposed to be comedy 😂😂😂. It’s so funny it’s like dramatic comedy 😂😂😂. It’s funny reminds me of don’t be a menace or something lol.
Excellent movie from the beginning and middle... up until the dead man rise up out of the trash dumpster 🤷🏿♂️... gets progressively worse after that. I give the movie 3 stars out of 5

Lmaooo see, if it had been directed by The Wayons Brothers or Tim Story then I woulda been 100% on board with the comedy.
You must be high
