It's armor is all but impenetrable to most tanks until you get to 7.7+, and then it becomes irrelevant, while its guns delete anything save for modern tanks and late soviet heavy tanks. Add on the fact that only one was ever built and it never saw combat due to logistical infeasibility and Germany having all but lost by the time it was complete, and the Maus never should have been added to the game in the first place. It, and other one-off prototypes or complete fantasy vehicles (Tiger II 10.5, Panther II, E-100, Obj 120, Coelian, etc.) should never have been added to the game in the first place. Of course, since Germany is the source of the majority of these one-off prototypes/fantasy vehicles, Germany would be the first to complain.

I've shot at the scope multiple times when we made this video, the only thing I was able to get out of it was a commander b/c minimal spalling. We later after the battle used the armor analyzer on the Foch and it really wasn't great. The best place to shoot was the turret roof right above the gun, which is a hard shot in itself.

Yknow, this is what it feels like to be in a jumbo at 5.0; you can bounce almost anything from the front, and with proper angling from the back to, but when someone gets to close or has a m18 (basically the object 120 of that br) your fked.
OP downtiered with a few tanks able to penetrate it if they know where and how and have the chance to do it (even fewer if we consider it from the front ofc), not so much when uptiered, yet early Churchills and Gun Carrier and several other heavies dominating downtiered even more, and suffering even worse when uptiered are still in the game, and they are not as iconic or able to bring in players and customers as Maus. Strange that a large section of the soviet tree is made up of prototypes but the Maus is removed. The E-100 you need a loan to buy on market to get, one would get the impression of Soviet Bias or something. When you fight a T34 you know it's Soviet bias for sure.
you should keep your turret angled when not able to fire / reloading or whatever you're just staring at the enemy , allowing him easy shots on your turret face after you fire , angle your turret tank shell by tricking them to fire at the well angled turret after they fire , you turn and eliminate them
This tactic relies on enemies not understanding how to attack a Maus. If you meet a smart enemy, they're not going to shoot the angled armor. They're going to shoot the turret cheeks or gun barrel.
Yea I mentioned it on the sands of sinai match when I said I need to get better habits with the Maus. I have a habit of pre placing my barrel and trying to figure out where I want to aim while the gun is reloading or re positioning. Just a habit from playing other tanks. This was actually my first time back in the Maus in 4 1/2 years lol
I was on a map in my t34 and there were 3 maus on the c point, can’t remember the name of the map, the maus looked like you guys, I was hoping to be in the video but I wasn’t 😂
