Wow! Been to the Phi Phi islands countless number of times. Didnt know its so beautiful underwater. Its is beautiful, like in another world. Excellent dive videography!
Thanks! This was only filmed with a GoPro hero3 at the time. It is beautiful for sure. Get out there and dive if you can! Or check out Bali-Lombok-Komodo some great diving here too. 🤗
So relaxing! Just got my open water dive certificate and going solo backpacking to Thailand in feb/March time and gonna scuba dive here!! Looks amazing!!
I was lucky with water clarity and sunlight on the dives. I was also shallow enough (8-16m) to get good lighting into the shots. I was using a fairly light red redfilter which helps to add back some colour which is normally lost from the surrounding water absorbing it. Post dive I then edit the footage either by adding an extra manual white balance or adding contrast. Even with the naked eye you will not see the true colour of the reef/fish under the water unless you have artificial light, which is why night dives are so amazing.
Great video! I love snorkeling and freediving. Would you be able to take some nice shoots in Thailand only with freediving? I mean just 1-2 meters below the surface?
Hi I really enjoy watch your video. Cause you're give so much details about the dive spots and the marine life. and I read your comments you're very responsive giving back and answer about all the questions. I subscribed you.
Sceptic Frog thanks for watching. Unfortunately I flooded that camera today :( but it filmed hundreds of hours above and below the surface. Enjoy Thailand!!
WOW this is amazing! Can I know what did you use/do for stabilisation? That cuttlefish scene was amazing! no idea how did you get so close to those shy creatures
This was filmed on my hero 3black + I had used it for many years so I knew how it films. No stabilising was done, unless it was for effect (slowing down) but buoyancy is to a steady shot. Those cuttlefish didn't care about me at the time :)
You can try dive (discover scuba diving) its a small session in a swimming pool or shallow ocean with practicing a few skills and then onto one or two dives max depth of 12m. if you enjoy it, some of the experience credits towards the full Open Water course.
Redfilter is made by Oculus, Two years old and still going strong HD3 + if I used a light it's just my dive light (archon) hope this helps. Thanks for watching
BeingJasonChong shoot with the sun behind you, red lens is made by Oculus. In editing there is a little contrast added, sometimes white balance as well. But on top of that you need good Vis which I had pretty much on most of my dives :) Elisha says hi :)
Excellent video well done dude. I'm assuming it was filmed on a GoPro? What editing program do you use? And what filters for red light? Some brilliant footage 👌
Oliver Tams thanks man. Yes GoPro 3 black + with red filter. iMovie for editing :) sometimes a flash light for the dark areas. Thanks again for watching
viNcEable thanks for watching. 1080p super wide 60fps. I have not used protune yet on the GoPro as normally my red filter and touch ups with video editor work well.
Was my 2nd trip out of Tao back to Phi Phi. I loved it! So much to see back then and a whole different atmosphere coming from Tao. Great times. I used to do the whole full length dive video with all the logistics things but it's hard to get viewers past the 3second mark 😂😂😂
Nice diving sites and great video! Koh Phi Phi is much greater than Similian Islands (was both places). What dive sites did you travel to in Phi Phi? And could you please post the track titles? Thaaanks :)
i have updated the song tracks in the bio. however i cant find the 3rd track. i will need to shazam it later. dive sites were Palong bay/wall and Bida Nai/Nok. thanks for watching
@@mattrickswayze2917 if you have good air consumption and a eye for things, you will find. Coming from Koh Tao I loved phiphi. Soft corals and many more variety of marine life. Great video my friend, think it will be Phi Ley Bay & Wall you mean though, both on the East side of Koh Phi Phi Ley, the most Southern of the two, with Phi Phi Don further North & the beautiful Bida Nok & Bida Nai South of Phi Phi Ley.
First Dive site is Whale shark wall, you can tell with all the whale shark hand signals 😛 2nd dive after food was Bida Nai (Swim throughs ) then Bida Nok ( schooling fish) and the last dive site is Maya Corner. Have a look here: www.blueviewdivers.com/phi-phi-dive-sites/ They have a great description of the dive sites.

One of the best, if not the best dive videos of Phi Phi I have seen............... its so beautiful underwater. Unbelievable.
🤩🤩 I had some amazing dives back then. Coming from East Thailand it was a real treat to experience that marine life. Thanks for watching! 🤗

keep that plan!! don't srcub off Indonesia, it should be on your list for sure. check out Lombok!
Why you clarity and colour quality is so good means how have you used any filters generally we don't see in an underwater scuba diving?
I was lucky with water clarity and sunlight on the dives. I was also shallow enough (8-16m) to get good lighting into the shots. for sure! shallow reefs surrounding the edges of Maya bay and the islands. The East side of Thailand will be good too, cliff jumping and snorkeling.

yes was blessed with amazing vis.
