Jimi owned many guitars, yes Jimi was influenced by Isley Bros, but even more so by Curtis Mayfield, Jimi always remembered and admired Mayfield's white stratocaster. Its true, Jimi was given several guitars, he also hock many guitars, thats exactly why Linda said "we had to get him another guitar". Its a well DOCUMENTED FACT, which can be found in Michael Heatley & Roger Mayers book (Jimi HENDRIX GEAR), that White Stratocaster was Keith's Richards 64. This come from a documentary that came out in 1973 only 3 years after his death. It was pretty wild because all the people they interviewed were with Jimi only a few years before.
Do you know the name of the documentary??
@@cerrito7806 - Yes, its called "Jimi Hendrix" just his name, I posted a link below. Maybe you can find it on Amazon or Pirate bay. I saw it at a friends house and it was really really good, it has interviews with all the people who were in his life, his family, girlfriends, band members, even has an interview with his commanding officer from the Army. My friend said they use to play this movie at midnight showings in the 1970s.............www.imdb.com/title/tt0070242/
The full title of the documentary is “A film about Jimi Hendrix.” You can find plenty of them on eBay.
It's equal parts interesting and hilarious that she's rockin the perfect white-fro of the 70s-arguably made more hip and cool by Jimi Hendrix than anyone else! Thanks Foggy-great snippet.
seen the picture of jimi with his hair in curlers reading mad magazine? Noel Redding was the only band member with a natural 'fro!
@@omarks lol i bet that was done for a laugh
he obviously already had curly hair as a child
Jimi copied Bob Dylan's Jew-fro!
This is from a documentary that was given to me when I was in college in Dublin in 1999 getting a lift home from a lovely English woman who ran the canteen who told me that her husband saw Hendrix at the Isle of Wight while on acid and can't remember any of it! It had interviews with Jagger, Clapton, Townsend and a load of his ex-girlfriends. Does anyone know what it was called?
The film is called: A Film about Jimi Hendrix, produced by Joe Boyd,1973.
Linda Kieth definitely a real beauty.

You're looking at the inspiration for "Ruby Tuesday." The song is about her - "Who could hang a name on you
When you change with every new day Still, I'm gonna miss you."
Beautiful lady in every way!!!
This is Ruby Tuesday. She told Chaz Chandler about JH which resulted in JH going to England. I believe she turned him onto LSD.
She was also Keith Richard girlfriend if I’m not wrong?
@@syncops834 yes before anita .
Not true. Richards said in the book According to the Rolling Stones: "It was probably written about Linda Keith not being there (laughs). I don't know, she had pissed off somewhere. It was very mournful, very, VERY and it was a Tuesday"

Love Linda Keith.
Will do if she has straigtenned her life out and ceased to follow the band wagon of fame and fortune ...so many of these people have been complicite in the downfall of great musicians ..these musicians very often vulnerable are seduced by the so called cool vibe of drugs ..Amey Winehouse eg. By the hangers on ....so what did she introduce Jimmey to..
@@keithwigley1256 She's a 70 year old woman. I think she's over it. Stop worrying about it.
Thank you so much Mam for discovering our Lord and Saviour
damn.... when she says "Completely involved"
Linda "got Jimi a guitar", turns that guitar was Keith Richards 64 Stratocaster.Jimi had became a dedicated Strat player from that day forward.
LOL!.......Utter BS. Jimi knew exactly the type of guitars he wanted to play. In fact, it was the 'Isley Brothers' who bought him the white Stratocaster a guitar he selected upon joining the group in 1964.
Linda took that White Stratocaster without Keith's permission, true story..also WELL DOCUMENTED.
@@precbsfender fact is jimi was playing a strat with the isley brothers so he did NOT become a dedicated strat player after linda gave him one but had been a dedicated strat player long before meeting her
Jimi's no fool, man

There was something called Elocution School. My mum used to go but these were expensive. Different generations have ruined traditional values. There are still diamonds in the rough.

(btw all is by my side is a amazing movie i watch it like once a week haha andre killed that role as jimi! imogen nailed the role of linda to , im not sure how much was accurate i know alot was but im positive some parts werent) cause hollywood but its cool to research linda there is barley anything about her, pictures of her other then her model pics in vogue are hard to find lol
Linda went back to live in New York. She's always denied there was anything going on between her & Hendrix. But she had her troubles with substance abuse, and was made a ward of court by her parents. Cathy was the perfect girl for Jimi at the time, she was more grounded and ended up marrying a Doctor. I guess he didnt need a trophy at the time just a girl about town who could show him around, make him feel at home in a new country while he got the Experience together.
Dam she look good! 😚

Excuse me sir could you give some info about this interview? it’s really interesting, thank you for posting it
It's from the great movie (documentary) "Jimi Hendrix" by Joe Boyd John Head et Gary Weis (1973).
