There still existed a long list of uses for small craft (addendum)
-Getting captured by the Romulans on your way to Risa
-Escaping destruction aboard your ship only to be killed by yourself six hours in the future
-Leaving your ship to hang out with your sketchy twin brother and his equally sketchy cyborg friends
-Deserting your post so you can return to a planet you visited five years ago and be turned into an alien creature

That graphic you had of the shuttlecraft, and at least showing schematics of some kind was the first view of that I’ve ever seen. I appreciate it.

Only now do I realize I meant to credit ex astris scientia for the schematic!

I wouldn't want to go on a road trip of any length of time in it, but for a short hop from ship to planet/back again or ship to ship for whatever reason it's perfectly serviceable. It's 1 step above a worker bee.

Building a 3D printed 1/12 model of this, kinda like the shuttle design tbh, interior looks pretty cozy

The type 15 shuttle makes better sense as a escape pod and the runabout would make a much better common star ship shuttle

I think as a, “hey you’re just going a few million kilometers to the nearby moon. It’s beyond transporter range but hardly worthy of a full shuttle it makes sense, though you quickly get into perfect is the enemy of good enough territory

It might be an OK shuttle craft for Commander Data, but if the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one, it needs a bathroom.

Kida feels like captain Pike deserves at least a nebula class

It would of been funny had the enterpise alpha wpuld of been equipped with 1 assus shuttle and the type f2 shuttle and 3 type 5 shutlles like 50 type shuttle pods

Nice 👍 however this shuttle is the result of TNG budget constraints
    Just a plywood box

Very much so, but it’s fun to try and justify the thing in universe

I know these shuttles don’t have warp cores but I never seen schematic of a shuttle which does have warp capability showing how micro warp cores look.
    Anyone else seen one?

There is no mention of Starbase 80

It’s mentioned in lower decks as a place where bad officers are sent

Eight hundred and sixty kilograms does not seem like it is a correct weight.

That weight is per the next generation technical manual. Seemed light to me, but maybe future tech?
