After watching Kingmaker, I was lead here and anything about the collapse of the Manila Film Center. Sharing this!
Destroy this $25 million graveyard now. It was built with the BEST intentions, but the WORST construction deadline. It holds too many painful memories of November 17th, 1981, and ghosts, and innocent lives that perished because of Imelda's rushed deadline of THREE MONTHS. The people who were unfairly left to die in concrete and plaster, deserve more than this. I don't care if they rebuild the center elsewhere in Manila, but THIS location should be razed and turned into a memorial. This tragedy, above all, was the personification and crowning glory of Imelda's greed and social climbing, far more than her overconsumption of shoes. May the souls who died here in 1981, be restored with dignity and received by the angels with grace.

Great video! The images look beautiful and the flow of the voiceover was easy to follow. My one suggestion is to clarify whether the budgets mentioned were in their original value then or have been adjusted for inflation into their value now.
Personally speaking, the projects themselves were highly ambitious and advanced for the time, making them desirable assets for the country.
The problem is, *all of them were rushed,* hence the need for bigger budgets, lackluster site safety enforcement, and round-the-clock construction work. And of course, the latter two resulted in the deaths of innocent lives. The worst part of all this is that *the people responsible for flagshipping this construction have never even acknowledged or apologized for their mistake, or helped the victims' families sufficiently.*
when game director shigeru miyamoto says rushed games are eventual bad, but a delayed game is eventually forever best
it fits in here mfc basically was rushed most malls and building take 10 or 5 years to build however manila film center was rushed
if u look at SM mall of asia it took years to make that mall look good however mfc was rushed and it took 3 days to make which led to a disaster

You don't get it. Kahit pa sabihin natin hindi totoo ang mga multo multo na yan. Kahit pa sabihin natin na pinahukay naman ni Imelda mga natabunan. Ang punto dito, ilang buhay ang kinailangan masayang para sa luho ni Imelda at dapat sya managot. Kung di man sa buhay na ito, sana ang mga kaluluwang di matahimik maghatid sa kanya sa impyerno para pagparusan ng husto ni Satanas.
That building is well planned and well built, we can still see that building standing up to this day. Instead of demolishing and create another building which would cost so much money, why not spend a little to restore it?

Diwata, also spelled dewata in other Southeast Asian countries, is an elemental/nature deity often revered as a type of lesser god. They're said to secure protection for people living in the domain they preside over. They function as guardian spirits of specific locations such as mountains, forests, and lakes.
