What's my story? An engineer, in love with his job, started teaching on the side. Got lucky. Impacted 1000s of lives. Had to finally leave his job to increase the impact surface area. Raised $5M funding to fix education. Is learning day and day about startups and building a valuable product.

What am I building? Today, 25 million Indians prepare for government job entrance exams. They do it for years together. The probability of success is less than 1% but they still do it. Why? For the lack of a structured alternative to launch their white-collar career. I am building Invact to bridge this gap.
How? Follow me to know, it's a long story. I am telling it in parts every day.
I left my job after 3 years of service as a full stack developer to become freelancer. After doing freelancing I understood it's not for me. I earned more than what I'm getting now in freelancing, but I wanted time freedom and wanted to be my own boss. And believe me whatever he said in this video is 100% true. You have to work 24x7 and also fight so hard to get clients. You will get money but at what cost? I again came back to job and guess what, companies do not consider freelancing experience. Even when I told them I have real clients, then also they did not consider and and only gave increment on my last salary. I did freelancing for around 1.3 years. But if anyone's wanting to do freelancing, I wish you all the best. Please do not make my comment or this video demotivate you to try out things in your life. Also in job no one treats you like shit as Tanay mentioned in his video. People are professionals in jobs and will treat you like a professional. Only in some cases they will treat you like a pig and guess what, you can change the company with atleast 30% hike.

I have been a full time freelancer for past 5 years and Main issue with freelancing post pandemic is, Too many people into freelancing now therefore to get regular work is very hard, Great insightful video।
Freelancing is not something to start right after studying। Give yourself sometime, do jobs and make some national clients through that rather than depending on freelancing platforms

For me freelancing is far far more better compared to a job. I have made 10 times more money in a month than a regular beginner developer.
Benefits are endless and cons are nothing.
I work at home and my own room.. no need to the office
I learn more development skills rather than office skills ... Different projects, different experience , different learning each time.
I would suggest go for freelancing and earn money and enjoy life

Find a 5 lac per annum job and go office everyday and work like a pig

Not only about timings, it's an end to end work. To focus on how much to bill to get the deal and on what price to limit the deal so that it's not a loss, to follow up for payments, to limit the requirements for that price and more. It's like running a company all alone.
There's no free time at all. Even if it's there, there's constant stress on unfinished tasks.

As a freelancer from last 5 year I can say, sir you are 100% right freedom ghanta freedom nahi sometime even you are on vacation quick tweaks ke liye you need arrange time.
The only Good thing about freelancing is that if you are very good at your work and enjoy it. Then you will be happy and wealthy but if you are doing it for the outcome you will get , then you fall for the trap. Take decision wisely.
Tanay, i agree with u. But , people need to go out and try all the things, unless they are not financially well. If someone doesn't have any financial dependencies, they should try it out. They should try our every thing. They "might" be that next Virat Kohli.

JOB earnings are 10% of what you do, and Freelancing is 100% of what you do. Microsoft is different in comparison to Typical Indian companies.

I'm a freelancer from last 3 years.
I make more than average software engg. But i work only for 5hours per day. You can take day off anytime you want. You just need to be good in your work. No expert. Even if you are good in your skills you can make good money and life life the way you want. Or ha struggle sirf Initial days me hota hai. Once you you know how things work you can easily outsource your work.

i don't agree with what you are saying. First off all there is nothing wrong in doing freelancing as side hustle for extra money. then turn off monetization on your videosTanay Pratap, why are you not turing it off, its because u need to extra money for your family, for yourself, for your showoffs, for your new phone, to pay your bills,,,etc... Same way people have lot of financial problems, in life they need money. doing freelaning is good its not a bad thing. So stop misleading people. Everyone who studies coding will not get good coding jobs with good packages. Better do some research don't speak with half knowledge. Am speaking here with my 1.5 years of exp as a freelancer working in full stack php dev. When i started this career i learned web dev. Learned for a small software house, got my first client on fiverr & i started working with him, then i got more clients and i started working and getting 1k euros per month. These clients have their own products. Once there work finished i didn't get new clients from 6 months. I worked with clients even till 5Am, by sitting in hospital, working for them in nights when they was presenting their sites to events. But this is the dark side, no more work. Finding clients is very very tough

I have seen this video. My situation is quiet different. I have 4 years of work experience in different background. So, I joined and completed one Diploma Course named "Diploma in Full Stack Development" in Oct 2022. Then I have done "full stack" internship for one month in July including certification and letter of recommendation. Still not getting any call for interview. That's why, I am searching freelancing project.
freelancing full time is not a good thing to do, what i feel Is Do it with a stable full time job and over years as you gain more experience on handling clients, how to deliever on time maybe then you can think of leaving your job to grow your freelancing more .

I have seen some post in Linkedin where professional are clearing interview in new job openings and after getting relieving letter from the previous company new company simply not allowing them to join how to handle such scenario. And not small start up are doing this even big MNC have such cases.

I've been freelancing for 5+ years and i've never had that kind of freedom to me people with regular jobs have more freedom. Freelancing requires alot of work compared to job and it pays back but the idea of having freedom and that lavish lifestyle is just nonesense.

In government job indeed you can earn good that includes black money offcourse and i was agreed with it has a lot of money. My parents were same but after seeing me working on development they changed their perspective
