I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (November 22, Christ the King Sunday), this was our New Testament Lesson (or Epistle) of the Day. Now on this day, we close the book on another Church Year. We will once again begin a new Church Year next Sunday, November 29, with The First Sunday of Advent. We can prepare by turning in our Bibles and reading Psalm 80:1-7, 17-19. If you haven't done so, maybe you can do a sermon on this psalm in the future.
