I've been watching Disventure camp and this is Exactly what i needed rn!!
I do the drawing part very differently 😅 I mean, I totally use references, but how I use my drawing tool is totally different. I don't use that much layers, and I usually do all the structure first and create another layer to paint everything. Also, I'd like to learn how to do poses in my style because I know TD artists tend to use lots of shapes to draw different poses and everything, but it'll be something I have to figure out😅
I used to do that too on other drawing programs! The one I’m using is pretty different because it’s called a vector program, where it’s mostly just drawing a bunch of shapes. I think in general if you just learn how to draw human anatomy, any style will look really good. It takes a long time though so in the meantime, we can do things like this 😋

Let’s just ignore how I straight-up used Don as my TD self-ref lol. At least mine changed colors and facial details… lol. This was a really interesting vid, I wasn’t sure how OCs were made from an artist’s perspective, and this was SUPER informative!

I already have some plans for my Total Drama OC X3 It’s actually goi to be one of myself and I’ll be labeling myself “The Snowflake” since I consider myself to be a very sensitive person, almost too much lol but I also had this idea to add some sass to my me as well since that’s what I imagine I’d be like if I were on Total Drama lol XD I still gotta figure out what website to use to make it lol :p

Thank you for this video! Will definitely use these! Do you have any tips on how to do the sharp edges? For example the hands are sharp but when I try they always turn out very rounded if that makes sense! I use pro create
I have my own style, similar to FOP or TD, but I can't draw characters in dynamic poses (only standing) will art school help me start drawing much better? I know that there I will be forced to draw realistically, and also to learn anatomy. still worth it? The fact that there are artists who draw this without any problems makes me feel like a failure.
I often use Scratch to make rigs of the characters…

Awesome! Years and years of practise, and I may make a rotation tutorial video but I haven’t done it in so long, so I have to relearn how to do it as well!

I love the tutorial but I still find it quite difficult to do this on Ibis Paint
yeah, but I just use a base I find online, then change the base drastically and making clothing with the line filters and finding outfits and hair on pinterest

how do i edit a character like that when i insert a character to draw off (like you drawed off dawn) its just one image
i’m unoriginal and original at the same time so I’m making mine as the “Furry Kid” but they’re not… that weird stuff. They’re actually smart and defend others or theirself

I'm sorry to ask, but how do you make it so you can edit every line like that? I just started and I cant find a tool to help me. (To ungroup it so I can edit things such as her hair or her legs) Thank you so much for the videos :D
In the program I’m using you hover over the line tool, and then the line edit tool becomes visible and you use that. I think in other programs it’s also the line tool that you use, but in some programs I don’t think you can edit lines so it depends what you’re using!
