My mother also did the fishes in her own design. But she used more shades and designs. Tiny dots, metalic paint, shades, midliners all to give it a good look!

mam jab cardboard ki koi kraft banata hu toh woh oneside bend ho jaati hai toh kya kare ki bend na ho
card board thora acha use karna hoga..bend nahi hona chahiye..check in the beginning agar pahle se hi thora bend hai to aage jake or badh jayega

You didn't show what you used to hang the item or why you used what you used to purpose your cardboard. That would have been very helpful. Otherwise project.

What did u apply before u applied colours? After fevicol and before colours o saw you using a base..wat s that?
That's paper towel here in teh US. Makes it look like the fish has scales. Easier than the POP ones but will probably warp.
Very nice. But isn’t it better to paint the same way on the back side also , so that when you hang them, when they keep turning around, they look more beautiful.
