This scene shows why its not the usual righteous girl wanting to bring the boy out of his dark past story. As we saw earlier Cha-yong understood his reasons when he said he will kill. This scene on the other hand speaks volumes for Vincenzo. We see him hesitating from keeping his hand on her , which he has done so long. But he let it go and with those blood stained hands (and his darkness) he gives in to her. He thinks he doesn't deserve her but he lets him love her anyway. It was such good symbolism at play here.
I agree and another thing that is unique and refreshing is that Cha-Young is also willing to get her hands dirty to achieve their goal. In these last two episodes, we saw a dark side of her surface because of all the loss and frustration she’s feeling. You could see Vincenzo was concerned about her switch being so drastic and so he’s willing to do all the dirty work to prevent her from coming to the dark side. I appreciate how it’s not the usual righteous girl cliche, this character writing so much better.

What i like the most on him is his eyes. His eyes has a lot to say or the way he can look a woman. Its very impressive. His eyes has a lot expression that his whole face. Not even looking romantically but sad, happy etc. His eyes are beautiful and impressive.
This scene of her embracing him with all her might and him not being able to resist hugging her back with that blood-stained hand encapsulates Vincenzo's internal struggle so well. Just like how the blood on that hand is his very own, he is the ultimate victim of his own violent past. His pain and shame cause him to feel like he doesn’t deserve to love or be loved by Chayoung, and resigned to living life as a very, very lonely person. The juxtaposition of the purity of the snow falling around them and the harsh reality of the blood shed on his hands reveals his great yearning to cling on to humanity for her sake, while being utterly trapped in the truth of what he'd done in the past. I thought this was so poignant. And the director expressed all these emotions and undertones so well with the colouring, angles and music. Argh, perfection.
I can literally feel the romance lingering in the air. They yearn for each other but I feel like Vincenzo is stopping himself from further falling for her because of his dark past. He is afraid. And in that moment he tries not to cross the line. But this scene just proved how much he cared for her, with blood stains all over his body, hugging Chayoung back because he can't really let go of her can he?

Not only that. He know if he does, she will be a target because he is emotionally invested. Mafia knows this. Target the family or those closest to the person as a message.
My hope is they can live happily together after all this. But how?😭 Can they really be together despite Vincenzo’s dark past? Let’s say they defeat whoever is the villain and obtain justice. the best part about this drama it's the fact that vincenzo went to korea w/out any intention of being involved with someone, he was just planning to do his own things and mind his own business, but somehow he end up finding a lot more, he found special people and developed such a beautiful connection with chayoung, and now he's doing everything for her, which shows a vulnerable and soft side of his... I hope they can stay together, my babies deserve to be happy.

Joong ki’s and Yeo bin’a acting is so in tune. Even if they’re portraying two completely different characters, they’re able to complement each other really well. That’s why when there are moments of minimun skinship, we just can’t help but SWOON. best actors? yes. best couple? hell yes 🥰

Both. He likes the girl and is jealous whenever she’s with Vincenzo but his greed for power is greater than his love for the girl. Like in the previous eps he always helps her but when she started getting in his way he asked the lawyers to get rid of her.

The emotions of dread and worry that wholly encompassed cha young because she knew vincenzo had gone to kill people thus losing his humanity bit by bit in the process. The tears that fell on her face in the car because of how worried she was for him. The longing she felt for him because she was scared he was gonna get killed. The hug at the end symbolised how much she loves him and cares about him and how much relieved she was because he was still alive after the scuffle. Vincenzo hesitated before hugging her back because he felt he doesn't deserves to be loved. He felt he was a monster that no one cares about but he realizes soon enough after seeing the raw emotions in cha young's eyes that she is someone who doesn't feel dread while looking at him knowing that he has done some horrible deads and is the member of mafia. In contrast she cares about him deeply , thus leading him to hug her back the end after all this comtemplation. Also in the end the way cha young says that we are partners and that we should face the danger together shows how much she wants vincenzo to not feel alone, lonely and dark inside because she wants him to feel that he is not alone now, she is there for him through thick and thin and that she will always remain his partner who is gonna support him no matter what. Gosh their chemistry is off the charts. Daebak. I am so in love with these two. This is a show I can watch 100 times and still not get bored. I love both of them but Why does this video has so less views. This scene was so good. It's a masterpiece. It should be at more than 1M already.

Im liking this girl, she’s not the usual type of damsel-in-distress leading lady. But she can be just as bad ass as Vincenzo who is willing to fight alongside him. She doesn’t try to pull him out of the dark, but is motivating him instead to win out of the dark. I love leading ladies like this!
I regretted that I watched this even when it's still ongoing because I'm dying of waiting and I can't even let myself watch another series bcos I was so hooked!
Okay one more thing that the director-nim snuck in, the whole trope about a couple being together during the first snowfall is meant to say together forever? That snowfall right there was the first snowfall in the show. :D
EDIT YOU GUYS I saw the show again you guys, and actually the heartbreaking scene where the 4 family members died was the actual first snowfall in the series, and our couple was together, but it was such a sad scene.
Remember in ep 9 when Vincenzo ask cha young if she'll cut ties with him if he'd kill a person, and vin just lied to her, that shows how scared he is too lose Chayoung bcoz of his past, and now this, he just can't think about putting Chayoung in danger. But i guess Chayoung already know he has a dark past and her embrace was to show him that she's here with him no matter how big the danger is. Im just addicted to their slow-burn romance.

I love the chemistry between Vincenzo and Cha-young. Both act well in all the epispdes. They are bold and loveable. Taecyeon is really villainous, a versatile actor. I can not hate him even if he has a tortured soul. This is one of my favorite Korean dramas. Irresistible and every episode is worth watching. It makes me think of The Godfather trilogy in the sense that this drama is compelling. I don't want the show to end.
@@rianpark8332 No, the boss of the mafia family who died was the father of the young guy who's car Vincenzo blew up (Vincenzo even called him to say "the only reason I didn't kill you is because of my respect for your father"). The consigliere is an advisory role, normally someone with lots of knowledge who's mostly not a family relative of the boss and is typically the only position that can be held by someone of none-italian blood.
Side note: I REALLY love how lots of these sweet moments happened in front of HanSeok...knowing that he have a crush on chayoung & hates Vincenzo....ahhh another level of satisfaction added

At this point I seriously don't know what to expect from this drama. It seriously blows my mind with all what's happening. So many stories and so many incidences. It is only the 10th episode and there are ten more to go. Half way through and I cant wait to see how everything climaxes. the Gold, the CEO, the dance lady, the residents, our hoping love story, Vincenzo's mother.....ugh....I just wish they released all the episodes in one day.
The fact that no one tries to compare song-song couples to this chayoung-vincenzo tandem means this drama is a damn🔥🔥😱🤯. No one even tries to recall their heartaches from them (song-song breakup).
This scene holds sm meanings. The way he hesitated to hug back and then finally letting himself to feel the warmth shows that he's finally able to express his feelings and he's realising that there's someone who worries about him. The way she put her head on the blood stained shoulder indicates that she's accepting him along with his dark side, like the way he is instead of 'changing' him. It's been a year but still can't get over this master piece
The hug after to do a feeling check cracked me up so bad. Poor guy is catching feelings and she makes him hug her for ages, then tells him she feels nothing hahha
Love this scene as it's where they crossed the threshold after both of them have been fighting to keep their feelings hidden for so long. But here she's too worried about him to care, and once she hugs him he initially tries to resist again, but realises he can't and his defences comes crashing down as she breaches the armour of his heart. Perfection.
Why I think Vincenzo and Chayoung must end up together despite others saying they don't want romance/or should just stay as partners. Vincenzo and Chayoung are like Yinyang, they're polar opposites that complete each other. Vincenzo who becomes less of a monster because of meeting Chayoung. He has learned to feel attachment in the country because of her. Chayoung is the only person who understands and accepts who Vincenzo really is. This is the first time Vincenzo has experienced this and what he really needed. She even allowed Vincenzo to break his promise. That conversation they had was so mature. Chayoung on the other hand, has no one beside her, that is why she reminds Vincenzo if he is going to leave because she's afraid to be left alone. Both feel lonely so they are each others' company. They support, look out for each other, make decisions together and spend all time together like what couples do all the time. If that isn't the sweetest thing in a relationship, I don't know what is. Their slow burn romance is so addictive. I love how its realistic and shows character/love development unlike other kdramas wherein couples get together after 4-5 episodes. EDIT: Isn't it heartwarming how Chayoung is willing to die/get in danger for of him? This is one aspect I love about Chayoung.

It makes me want to protect their love for each other. I'm so glad the love triangle here isn't that strong compared to other kdramas. I think that the writers and director should come to this comment section to know the passion and love the viewers have for vincenzo and cha young so that they at least include a kiss earlier in the episodes and should make a very nice and beautiful ending and not like vincenzo left the mafia world and started to live as a normal citezen. What i like the most on him is his eyes. His eyes has a lot to say or the way he can look a woman. Its very impressive. His eyes has a lot expression that his whole face. Not even looking romantically but sad, happy etc. His eyes are beautiful and impressive.

This scene of her embracing him with all her might and him not being able to resist hugging her back with that blood-stained hand encapsulates Vincenzo's internal struggle so well. Just like how the blood on that hand is his very own, he is the ultimate victim of his own violent past. His pain and shame cause him to feel like he doesn’t deserve to love or be loved by Chayoung, and resigned to living life as a very, very lonely person. The juxtaposition of the purity of the snow falling around them and the harsh reality of the blood shed on his hands reveals his great yearning to cling on to humanity for her sake, while being utterly trapped in the truth of what he'd done in the past. I thought this was so poignant. And the director expressed all these emotions and undertones so well with the colouring, angles and music. Argh, perfection.

I can literally feel the romance lingering in the air. They yearn for each other but I feel like Vincenzo is stopping himself from further falling for her because of his dark past. He is afraid. And in that moment he tries not to cross the line. But this scene just proved how much he cared for her, with blood stains all over his body, hugging Chayoung back because he can't really let go of her can he?

the best part about this drama it's the fact that vincenzo went to korea w/out any intention of being involved with someone, he was just planning to do his own things and mind his own business, but somehow he end up finding a lot more, he found special people and developed such a beautiful connection with chayoung, and now he's doing everything for her, which shows a vulnerable and soft side of his... I hope they can stay together, my babies deserve to be happy.

The emotions of dread and worry that wholly encompassed cha young because she knew vincenzo had gone to kill people thus losing his humanity bit by bit in the process. The tears that fell on her face in the car because of how worried she was for him. The longing she felt for him because she was scared he was gonna get killed. The hug at the end symbolised how much she loves him and cares about him and how much relieved she was because he was still alive after the scuffle. Vincenzo hesitated before hugging her back because he felt he doesn't deserves to be loved. He felt he was a monster that no one cares about but he realizes soon enough after seeing the raw emotions in cha young's eyes that she is someone who doesn't feel dread while looking at him knowing that he has done some horrible deads and is the member of mafia. In contrast she cares about him deeply , thus leading him to hug her back the end after all this comtemplation. Also in the end the way cha young says that we are partners and that we should face the danger together shows how much she wants vincenzo to not feel alone, lonely and dark inside because she wants him to feel that he is not alone now, she is there for him through thick and thin and that she will always remain his partner who is gonna support him no matter what.
Gosh their chemistry is off the charts. Daebak. I am so in love with these two. This is a show I can watch 100 times and still not get bored. I love both of them but Why does this video has so less views. This scene was so good. It's a masterpiece. It should be at more than 1M already.

EDIT YOU GUYS I saw the show again you guys, and actually the heartbreaking scene where the 4 family members died was the actual first snowfall in the series, and our couple was together, but it was such a sad scene.
Remember in ep 9 when Vincenzo ask cha young if she'll cut ties with him if he'd kill a person, and vin just lied to her, that shows how scared he is too lose Chayoung bcoz of his past, and now this, he just can't think about putting Chayoung in danger. But i guess Chayoung already know he has a dark past and her embrace was to show him that she's here with him no matter how big the danger is.

I love the chemistry between Vincenzo and Cha-young. Both act well in all the epispdes. They are bold and loveable. Taecyeon is really villainous, a versatile actor. I can not hate him even if he has a tortured soul. This is one of my favorite Korean dramas. Irresistible and every episode is worth watching. It makes me think of The Godfather trilogy in the sense that this drama is compelling. I don't want the show to end.

The way he hesitated to hug back and then finally letting himself to feel the warmth shows that he's finally able to express his feelings and he's realising that there's someone who worries about him. The way she put her head on the blood stained shoulder indicates that she's accepting him along with his dark side, like the way he is instead of 'changing' him. It's been a year but still can't get over this master piece

Love this scene as it's where they crossed the threshold after both of them have been fighting to keep their feelings hidden for so long. But here she's too worried about him to care, and once she hugs him he initially tries to resist again, but realises he can't and his defences comes crashing down as she breaches the armour of his heart.

Why I think Vincenzo and Chayoung must end up together despite others saying they don't want romance/or should just stay as partners.
Vincenzo and Chayoung are like Yinyang, they're polar opposites that complete each other. Vincenzo who becomes less of a monster because of meeting Chayoung. He has learned to feel attachment in the country because of her. Chayoung is the only person who understands and accepts who Vincenzo really is. This is the first time Vincenzo has experienced this and what he really needed. She even allowed Vincenzo to break his promise. That conversation they had was so mature. Chayoung on the other hand, has no one beside her, that is why she reminds Vincenzo if he is going to leave because she's afraid to be left alone. Both feel lonely so they are each others' company. They support, look out for each other, make decisions together and spend all time together like what couples do all the time. If that isn't the sweetest thing in a relationship, I don't know what is.
Their slow burn romance is so addictive. I love how its realistic and shows character/love development unlike other kdramas wherein couples get together after 4-5 episodes.
EDIT: Isn't it heartwarming how Chayoung is willing to die/get in danger for of him? This is one aspect I love about Chayoung.
