Giyu is the type of guy who lets his actions speak for himself, and doesn't let emotion cloud his judgement. He doesn't let Pride affect his personality. He doesn't let pain decide how he feels.
All these reasons are what make him the Water Hashira. Water can take any form. You can make water into a tea or a wine, but it will be the same.

I think he’s relatable because he’s the most human Hashira. He’s not super optimistic, he’s not flamboyant, he’s not super edgy, he’s just a guy who can’t recognize his own worth. I think everyone’s been in a position where they don’t feel like they can live up to someone, or their ideal selves. His guilt causes him to be introverted, and at the same time keeps him humble because he doesn’t want credit. But despite the weight of shame on his shoulders he somehow he still finds a reason to keep going (being a brother figure for Tanjiro). It’s very simple when it comes down to it, but that’s exactly why he’s relatable. He doesn’t have some crazy backstory, just a life he struggles to accept.

Out of all the hashira themes, giyuu's Is one that shares a lot with the hashira theme. This tells you how much he Is dedicated to the job of being a hashira. Even though he thinks of himself as unworthy of the rank, he Is More than worthy and perhaps he Is the most dedicated out of all, drawing His Strength and Will from His sorrow. And when the music sounds so calmed before hitting in with everything, it represents what i Said, giyuu thinks of all the people that died to protect him and uses those memories to fight. While tanjiro Is the brightest part of the water, Giyuu Is the Deepest part of ocean, full of misteries.

I know the Hashira theme is for the, well, the Hashiras but I like to think that it has become a large part of Rengoku's own theme, and in a way by the "Rengoku" theme being combined with other Hashira characters' themes like this one, it's like Giyuu and the other Hashiras are carrying Rengoku's will (and all the other previous Demon Slayers who have died) as they continue their fight against Muzan
I actually really like each hashira calling back to the hashira theme.
Rengoku is the 3rd weakest pillar btw.
Its meant to showcase their indomitable will. They are all like Rengoku and will never surrender. They would rather die to a demon, well, except a certain someone.

Holy mother of god, this is phenomenal. The first, like, 50 seconds give me chills and then the rest of the song just makes me freeze up. Bruh, I feel like I could miraculously learn water breathing while listening to this. My jaw dropped hearing this. I cannot wait to hear what you make once the red light district arc starts. I know the music will be especially badass when Tengen has his boss fight.
