Hello po. Thank you po very informative. May question po ako, Im a licensed English teacher po here in PH. What are my chances po teach at secondary level? If hibdi pwede, elementary po? Or Early childhood lang talaga?
Hello Maam. No, it is not too much. It also depends on the school district. But so far, in my 2 schools, we only work from 9am to 3:30pm with an hour prep time (free time) everyday. We also have an hour break so approximately 4-5 hours of teaching per day but the salary is annually so we get a full salary every month not depending on the number of hours, in my case roughly 75-85k annual salary.
@@MelanieQuimson2020 Thank you for your clarifications. In my country where I teach, the maximum of work hours per week is 21 hours. Can someone for example teach about or less than 21 hours a week in Canada, and we are wondering if you could do more videos about teaching and how the Canadian system works. Thank you again. That's nice of you!
@@mariemouali7243 Hello, good day! I will definitely make more vlogs about teaching in Canada during the holiday break since I got too busy these last few days of school. Yes, you can teach less than 21 hours, but you will be considered part-time, affecting your annual salary. Teaching here is absolutely not too much. What makes it challenging is the proficiency and consistency of the use of the English language and the difference in curriculum. Since I am not a native speaker, I am pretty exhausted from speaking the language for straight hours every day, ensuring I do not mispronounce or state any grammatical errors.
It doesn’t matter po if topnotcher or hindi. They don’t need your board exam rating po sa accrediting process. Kahit yung PRC license mo di nila hihingin. Statement of professional standing from PRC is one of the requirements. They will also check your syllabus from beginning to last coursework. You should also get a band score of at least 7 per category in IELTS Academics. These are some of the requirements po and madami pa.
Hello mam, ask ko lang po about teaching assistant here in Canada may paperworks din po ba ang Educational Assistant nyo? or more on supporting and assisting lang sa teacher at sa pupils? Thanks in advance po sa responds.
Hello po. As per teaching assistants, wala masyadong paperworks sila. More on one-on-one support talaga sa classroom. Sa junior high, wala kami masyadong teacher assistant not unless may ES1 or ES2 students sa class namin. Pero sa elementary, meron talagang teaching aid. Hindi sila more on paperworks :)
