I used to buy the 'Cricketer' magazine. Majid was a very handsome cricketer and we kids would like to call each other by famous cricketers names and Majid was a top choice! Majid was known for his fast run scoring during the days when batsmen generally didn't bat that aggressively as now. He scored or came near to several Test centuries before lunch and was known for that. His batting technique was criticized because he would barely move his feet--unlike Miandad. But Majid still did well. His downfall along with Zaheer Abbas' downfall started during their flop performances when Pakistan toured India in 1980. Miandad performed much better in contrast under those kinds of umpiring decisions which happened in all countries. Well, those are some memories. Thanks for the documentary!
Usman Majid Jahangir Khan most talented Batsman,a medium pace bowler and good athletic fielder.I still remember his 165 against West Indies in West Indies agaonst fiery fast bowlers Andy Roberts,Michael Holding,Colin Croft,Joel Garner and a parternership with elegent Zaheer Abbas.Both of them had a good partnership in 1979 World Cup.Pakistan has always producd good cricket players with Hanif Mohammad at top. Now in 2023 World Cup Pakistan have shown there power against New Zealand. Whatsoever is New Zealand Team,Pakistan always play well against New Zealand and win the match.Pakistan has a golden chance to reach semifinals in 2023 World Cup.
