*EDIT:* My apologies, guys. I somehow never mentioned that my **longshot** hope for the Metroid remasters in the Partner Show is meant to be a surprise reveal. Where they would break convention to feature a first party announcement in a third party show. I never actually said that out loud though. These things happen when you just BS off the cuff. That’s my bad, guys.
Yeah Nintendo not gonna reveal Metroid Prime 2 and 3 tomorrow. Most likely next month or October where they can do surprise shadow drop like Metroid Prime Remastered.
It’s owned by Nintendo, but Nintendo never develops any metroids internally, mercurysteam develops 2D and retro studios develops the prime games and there is a history of close partners revealing Nintendo published games in these things
I think so. Nintendo does not have enough for a full size Direct so they’re bundling it up with the indiedirect. Hopefully a reveal soon for Switch 2 and then a Nintendo Direct dedicated only to Switch 2 titles.
The only thing I would be excited to see from a Third Party Showcase is that rumored Starfox Assault Remaster. I want Prime 2 Remastered, but I don't want Prime 2 and 3 being handled by a third party company. It would look different then Prime 1 Remastered which would be jarring to the eyes.
I had a feeling all along after the initial tweet a few months ago that we would not get a September direct and would instead get the reveal of next gen then. I appear to have been correct
My bets are either April 2025, May 2025 or June 2025 for release of Switch 2, which means it could def be announced much later than September. My bets are if there is a First Party direct there would be more minor games announced, like Rhythm Heaven, and possibly even something like a Tomadachi Life remaster considering the success of Miitopia.
Maybe, we will have to watch & see what happens throughout the year ends to see. The back to back is awesome. I see it as they could be doing this to give developers time to spend the holidays together this year & not having to work during those times & miss time with family because they are working during the holidays.
I really think that the switch 2 will follow a release like the switch 1 but delayed by a couple months, very much like what tears of the kingdom was to breath of the wild. They do not want to mess with switch's performance during the holidays, so I feel like they're not going to reveal the switch 2 until January of next year and then release some time in May.
Personally, I'm not expecting anything crazy. Which I know was the mindset for the last direct (mostly), but I feel that was theming giving the Switch a proper swansong. This? While I think there will be good or even great games revealed, it's not going to mind blowing.
Okay, there are some games that I think Nintendo could reveal in this Partner Showcase + Indie World Direct like maybe new information about Epic Mickey Rebrushed like having new content like Oswald The Lucky Rabbit being playable, Pizza Tower finally coming to Switch, Fnaf Into the Pit, and some other games I might think of but I mean I swear to god if this is the last Direct before we move on Switch 2/The Switch Successor and I know that you guys really want to talk about the new games coming for Switch 2 like 3D Mario, the next new Mario Kart if it's called Mario Kart 9 or X, the sequel for Kirby and the Forgotten Land, a new Star Fox game, and a new Donkey Kong Game but I mean there are still some 3DS Games and GameCube games still need to come over to Switch 1 which are but there are some remakes and remasters from the 3DS and GameCube that I would do like and hope and have a chance to be on Switch before we move on to Switch 2. Like for the 3DS they could still reveal the full-on remakes of both Kirby Triple Deluxe and Kirby Planet Robobot as well as having new side modes for both Taranza and Susie just like how they did with Magolor in Magolor Epilogue like for Taranza his side story would be him trying to find Queen Sectonia after Kirby defeated her and for Susie's side story she would be her trying to find her Father President Haltmann or Kirby's Robobot Suit after Kirby destroyed Star Dream but I think Susie should find Kirby's Robobot Armor Suit because it was sad when the suit let Kirby go and then it cried which was so sad so I think it would be nice of Susie to give Kirby his Robobot Armor Suit back which that would be so nice of her to do that for Kirby. And they can still finally reveal Tomodachi Life with the Mii Maker Editor from Miitopia and adding it to Tomodachi Life and also adding online to it as well. And for GameCube they can reveal a remake of Star Fox Assault and giving us online mode for VS Mode in Assault and also maybe reveal a remake of Luigi's Mansion 1 or any of the GameCube Mario Party Games. But they can also reveal the new leaked 2D Kirby Game called Kirby and the Celestial Stars which could be after Kirby Star Allies or after Kirby and the Forgotten Land or after any of the two 3DS Kirby Games but I don't know if they're gonna do it but I'm still concerned about the new female Kirby Character that looks related to Susie Haltmann which is Polly cause if they add her in the Kirby series but I feel bad for what the internet is gonna do to her but I hope the new 2D Kirby game goes good. But I know BoTalksGames did talk about the new rumor 2D Kirby Game leak which it does look well made fake leak for a new 2D Kirby game which I agree with him which it does look fake but we'll see what happens for what HAL is gonna do for Kirby when they're still working on the sequel for Kirby and the Forgotten Land for Switch 2. So I do hope we get a September's General Nintendo Direct before we move on to Switch 2.
But Rob, it’s imposible that Metroid appear in a Indie Direct or Partner Showcase, because those directs has nothing to do with first party games. I’m as excited as you to see more Metroid, but I’m not thinking too far as you now hehehehe 🤓 Metroid Prime is first party 100%, even if someone else is helping to remastered. Is not the same case of Hyrule Warriors, because in that case is an spin off from another developer with the ip license, not a main game.
Combination Direct, this might screw over the indie games with big studio games thrown in, but we will see. I still think we will get a big Nintendo Direct for September, but it might be more unique and do it at the end of September with only Nintendo games and start with it showcasing the new console perhaps? Then they can show off a new console, talk about it, and talk about the launch year games for it. Or they just do a standard Nintendo Direct still and the partner games here are more western titles and the September Direct has more Japanese titles with Nintendo games.
@@THEJefftheKiller oh ok. So crossovers is a more apt description. I’d that’s the case… yea ain’t no way those ports or remasters are gonna be at either directs lol
I think if Nintendo wanted to seppuku their Switch hardware units sold for FY24 then they would announce Switch 2 before calendar 2025. They won’t do that, they’re still banking on meeting their unite sold for Switch 1 and so they will wait until January.
The only way I see nintendo revealing the next generation this year is what nobody is thinking, maybe the next nintendo console is not a next switch, but it is a completely different machine, I don't know what, but a completely diferent machine, so the switch and this next machine could coexist at the same time, maybe even interconnected, but if it is a sequel of the switch then forget about it, we would get news form it at january at minimun, the expected switch sales for this year indicate that, they are not going to shot themselves on the foot by announcing a next switch before the holiday sales, and even impliying that they are going to release it early next year by revealing it so early, it just doesn't make sense.
Nintendo has already labeled it as a successor to the Switch, so it's not something that's going to co-exist. I mean, even those times Nintendo has said that a new product won't replace existing products that has never turned out to be true. Like they said that the DS would co-exist with the Game Boy line and they said that the "NX" would be a third product line alongside Wii U and 3DS.
January is the most rare for a Nintendo Direct, start of the year Direct can be anywhere between January through April, highest occurrence is February. There is always the Pokemon Day Direct at the end of February. September Direct has occurred with a 100% chance, they have never missed a Direct in September.
Is it unusual for Nintendo to have 2 directs at th same time? If so, that could mean a new system is going to be revealed later on. Nintendo just wanted to push those directs out of the way.
I don't think Nintendo will showing Metroid or Zelda. specially not as indie. You know, If Nintendo have it it will show with Switch 2... That also make it likely that Nintendo Direct AFTER this one HAVE Switch 2 and possibly big guns to sale it. You know, Nintendo know to flood less important games before big stuff (So it don't get under big guy shadow)... It's about 1-3 month after Partner Showcase before real Nintendo Direct (With exception of Partner Showcase : February 21, 2024 take 5 month till real Direct ... but have Pokemon Presents : February 27, 2024 just 6 day after) And that 1-3 month time is up to late 11/24. But possibly at / near The Game Awards Early December.
Nintendo failed to meet sales forecasts this past quarter. They are seeing the decline in switch sales in real time and they understand momentum is slipping now. They can stop bleeding this current quarter with zelda but they pushed announcements to boost interest even more now. Now really seems like the time to get everyone excited to the point where sales don't matter and Nintendo can bide time with shareholders while they approach the launch.
Why do people keep posting fake clickbait titles like this? There is no switch 2 just like Nintendo keeps telling people, and they would never name their system something ridiculous like to switch 2 in the first place😔.
I went from excited when I read a Direct was coming tomorrow, then saw it was a Partner Showcase and Indie....then I became a deflated balloon. I don't care for anything Indie.
