Hey Dan, I was wondering what your thoughts are on fas snaps for quick fly changes. I'm new to fly fishing for trout but have been fly fishing for pike for a while. The biggest problem for me is the tiny trout flies compared to a pike fly, and trying to thread thinner tippet through the eye of the hook. I've bought some of these snaps ahead of the trout season starting in March in the hope of making life easier. I'd be interested to know your thoughts. Cheers 🤔👍

Hello David! Thank you for reaching out. I have used the small snap swivels for Pike and Muskie fishing...but never for anything I would consider more technical. I feel you could probably get away with using these on wet flies as it won't effect the presentation. On dries - I would see it potentially causing problems with how they sit on the water. Let me know how they work on the more traditional flies - Cheers!
