Hello and a warm welcome to Dodger's Trips.
On this channel I'll take you on historical journeys in the UK, Europe, Asia and USA travelling to some of the best travel destinations in the world.
There'll be family getaways, I go sightseeing at museums and other historical places. I'll share this with you so that you can enjoy the wonders of the world and remember past events.
There is so much that we need to know about history and I want to help you learn more about it. I go to places like the Taj Mahal, Auschwitz, Mount Rushmore, Wallace Hartley’s home, Little Bighorn Battlefield, Berlin during WWII, memorial sites and much, much more.
Watch amazing video footage of special places with commentary.

I remember how good the Belgian restaurants were. Some of the best food i have ever eaten was there. The chocolates from a shop called Leonidas used to be amazing too. Made with fresh cream. If you see one of their shops you must grab yourself a box. Mind you, its 40 yrs since i lived there and things change. .Another great video. Thanks Dodger

Thanks for posting another interesting comment Andy. It's great to read about your remembrances. Leonidas sounds amazing. My kinda shop. I'm guessing you're from Hull by your user name. My cousin has just today told me about the Red Lion on Clarence Street as a suggestion for doing a video. All my family were from Hull & Beverley. Best wishes.

@@DodgersTrips Yes, I do live in Hull. Clarence st has an interesting history but is very run down these days. For history, I'd recommend the Bluebell pub in Hull city centre. The gunpowder plot was hatched there by Guy Fawkes and co. It's also not far from the Hull history centre which has lots of information on local stuff. The Hull maritime museum reopens next year and its brilliant, as is the Hull street museum. Personally i prefer Beverley. Its a beautiful town as you know, and steeped in history. I look forward to your next videos. Cheers Dodger.

I don't get to Hull very much at all these days. There is only one Uncle left really living in the city. I will note your recommendation about the Bluebell. I did see an unusual pub the other day on the internet. I think it was called Cannon Junction. It is two railway carriages joined together beneath an arch. I've been to the History Centre and thought it a fabulous building. I had gone there to view the fishing records for an uncle who was a skipper back in the 1930s. Thanks for your support in watching the videos. Paris next!

@@andyovhull1875 I forgot to mention a number of my early videos are about Hull. If you remember Hull in the 1960s & 70s you may be interested in my Grandad's colour films from that era. I post them on the "Joseph Wilson - His Wonderful World of Cine" RUclips channel.

@@DodgersTrips I'm afraid Cannon junction shut down a few years ago. It was an unusual pub though.

Too bad it's absolutly full of cars all over the place and that walking ANYWHERE in this town is a really bad experience.

I nearly got hit crossing the road near to the museum. I'm afraid cars rule towns these days wherever you go. The motorists were definitely better behaved than in the UK though. Many thanks for watching the video and taking the time to post a comment. It's very much appreciated.

Waterloo morne plaine, when under the rain it is less pleasant and people often stick to the galleries and close by shops, just popping from their car in the huge parking behind Wellington gallery or on the other side of the stoneway: the parking in front of the police station. Thanks for the extensive video🙏
