After much waiting, and some setbacks it's finally here! My first full AMV in...oh geez, years? And using a french cartoon no less. I had a lot of fun with this one. My only concern is that some parts might only make sense to someone who's seen the show, and Nox's special.

Let's all be honest: This show was much better every time Nox was onscreen.
Yeah.. let's be honest the first 10-ish episodes were pretty boring

@@feroniks366 I don't think the robots were his kids. Mostly because one of them (the one with the bandana) was a sacrier, but non of his kids were.
ik this is just a theory but when nox went back in time yugo saw an island with ogrest on it so what if his plan actually worked but he was so worked up he didnt notice.
@@SapariCat Could be. But Ogrest was still at Mount Zynith during season 1, 2 and the three part special between seasons 2 and 3 so he could still be there if they just teleportet.
Bruh Nox is such an underrated character same with wakfu to people. He's one of the best written characters ever.

He really won there is a theory who show he could go back in the time but he made a breach and a Eliotrop took it name's N (nail) show the breah and decided to jump in and so all the wakfu energy came towards him instead of nox and his go back to the time

Nox: Planes and works for 200 years. Goes back 20 minutes.
Yugo: Sends copies of himself back to the very beginning of time itself by pure accident.
theres an intresteing alternative story..... nox learning how to send bad ass copies of himself back in time ,to save his family ..and himself.. from becoming nox , so in the 'present' he can take the time to run his calculations agen do some small scale experiments finding out he cant rewind all of the multiverse ,but....if need be he can send legions of himself back to the begining of time and lay in wait... but then there basicly be nox the family guy being clueless of who this legion of masked identical creatures are that seems to have existed since time immemorial.... :o

just my own mental image of a legion of this bad ass noxes finding tranquility in mastering arts while solving ther shared sorrow by basicly denying the events that shaped him from happening and in the same process trading the existence of one for what could been is sort of poetic.
@@Amoth_oth_ras_shash this would be a nice plot but I want to point out a problem : sending back copies of Yugo didn't make an alternative universe, it's like it always has been like this. That would mean that Nox would lose is family to not create a paradox.

aka...descriptive ,vs proscriptive ^^ personly i found writers that tryess to treat it more like a 'substance' or 'activety' rather then some proscriptive theater script often get lees plotholes in ther use of it ,but hey ;)
mostly just a fun thought to toy with right ? since its down to a writer/creator of a universe what route he wants to be the active one.
though we confirmed was it quarks ? in real life dont care much if they are in multiple places at once so its easy to imagen in a multiverse with 'magic' he cant rewind it enough , but if he could toss copies of himself to the begining of it aka before there was time one might say..well ,its an interesting idea.
since the magics that made them dont care much if or if not what they are made up of been loaned from a trillion little places at one point in time that now will be shaped a bit differently...i mean universes with magic often have various loopholes around stuff like that so i'd say being a master of temporal magic should give plenty of leway for that kind of stuff...specialy if one applies a bit of 'lose' real life quantum physics ..magic is after all a wonderful imagenary tool to affect stuff on that lvl in ways thats impossible in real life.
but ye if one goess down the hole theather script route so to speak then you always hit such paradoxes ,but not just for big stuff like that but down to the smallest potential individual ,since the moment the variables starts involve agency of sentient beings even if you replace a 'accident' with a copy made a precise moment before it happend,that still likely will result in a slew of small but mounting differences in decisions ^^

He spent 200 years just to go back in time and not realize he did then realized what he had done just for it not to work then later on died

The whole point is that he KNOWS what he is doing is terrible, but he was betting everything on coming back 200 years ago when none of the destruction even started to beging with, he was justifying himself with "i know im terrible but none of this will matter once i win and everythinf will be fixed, including me"

I’ve seen a theory recently that maybe during the fight, yugo send them 200 years in the past since we do see ogrest in the background (yugo being an heliatrope and the king/god and all of that). That’s makes it even sadder for Nox...
Just mind blowing that Nox succeed to sent back the entiere Multiverse.

@Le Gyon yeah but then the gods would be angry and he would have not turned back time on his destroying the world. Which I think if he succeeded at his plan he wouldn't have wanted to be permanent.
@@Ayber_ yeah, Xelor himself is only able to wind back time on a much smaller magnitude but Nox was able to turn back time on such scale that would give Xelor a run of his money.
@Le Gyon The gods would notice this, and punish him greatly. Going against the flow of time something i believe was discouraged by the gods due to its consequences(correct me for this), even normal xelors can only turn back time on themselves and others for like a few seconds to a couple minutes at most.

Wost part is that he knows what he did was evil but he knew that by winding back. His acts of evil will be undone and he gets to stay with his family. For him, it was a win win scenario because no one would have to face Nox if he never travelled forward in time.
The saddest part is that he actually success in winding back time but still could not getting what was lost.
I grew up on this instead of star wars, he's basically my Darth Vader

Whenever i see content about Wakfu and Nox, i just think; Noximillian is such a great name. Even if the character wasn't the antagonist.
What a great video, what a splendid tribute. And gods, what a great character. I think, Nox made me realize how a properly written villains should be like. If you try very much u might find older superb villains, but I think Nox was the first one for me, to make me realize that a proper villain can have a depth. And boi was Nox deep. He was just a hurt person, harmed by his own mistake. And he found a chance to redeem himself, a cruel and gruesome path, that he willingly took in pursuit for his family's smiles and laughter. And, in a twisted way, his plans were logical. If he reversed the flow of a time, changed his mistake... what would the sins he commited to achieve that matter? They would be null, void. So he descended the path of ruthlessnes. Spent decades for the sake of his dreams and regrets, only to be cheated away. That fucking eliotrope shit was the real villain. It made poor guy spend two centuries cleaving the world of wakfu for it, to fucking turn back time 15min prior.

I think that a good villain and a sympathetic villain are two very different things
Some stories benefit alot from a sympathetic villain but some really shouldn't have one, I'm looking at you white diamond from universe, in the end if nox isn't the best villain then at least I think he's the most sympathetic

And by quotas there I mean... consdiering gem-side... organic lifes really are meaningless and comparable to dust... Gems not treating organic life with respect fits their expansive and aggresive culture as an alien species whose lifespan is basically unknown...
Nox’s life is a sad one. Also they did not time travel, they teleported to the island because ogrest still existed before and after their fight.
They did but only twenty minutes not two hundred years.

Its really sad knowing that all mistakes made in the past cant be fixed crush his soul at the end.

What a masterpiece, I wish I could forget all about Wakfu to discover it again. Noximilien is such a perfect character.
Ever since I watched Wakfu so so many years ago, I still think of this character from time to time, and the way he makes me sad even though he's not real is pretty scary.

If only we had the power to turn back this clock to are lives and fix every mistake we’ve made but what Has happened can never be changed.....
If you really think about it.
If every person had the ability to do so. You'd essentially be creating a new dimension were the mistake you made never existed.
Think of it like a straight line. The line is your original timeline, you decide to go back in order to fix a mistake, but when you change that mistake, the line branches off from that point in time and creates a new line, a line where you never made that particular mistake.
So really, you would never be able to get back to the original line, the place you came from. You'd be living in the new line, while everything else continues its existence in the old one.
So if every one did it. You'd be left with an empty world. An empty timeline. When you go back and change something, you don't return to your original world. So slowly people would disappear and eventually no one would remain.
What ya think about that?.
It's a theory I've had on my brain for ages about time travel. This video gave me the perfect outlet to talk about it.

He wasn't a villain, just broken...
If the plan works, he stay with his family and hide the cube. Yugo would never leave the village, quilby would never be relesed and oropo would not exist
But the problem is oropo was the one to technically creat nox, so one can not exist without the other
To each individual their happiness to hold with in their hands, we often fail to realize that with out happiness of our own there is no need for a world to exist, if what we held dear no longer anchors us to reality.
It justifies the destruction of a dimension to begin a new, the man shows his most human side as Nox and unknown to the rest of the people around him, he is the most selfless of them all, sacrificing everything to fix the wrongs of the past.
A man with all the time and at the same time with none.

I think he would've made it if he found the eliatrope's ship and used it to drain the world of its wakfu; the power would help a greater time machine maybe make it past even a decade or more.

Dio vs Nox would be a fight I would pay to see.
Always felt bad for him. For a man who works with Time abilities, he missed that one moment he was where he wanted to be, worked so hard to go to.... and ruined it by ignored it in favor of killing a kid.
When even power that surpasses the gods themselves isn't enough... Can anyone blame him for taking his own life?
and lets not ferget, he was DRIVEN to madness by the cube making his work more of a obsession than not.
Oh mai, this is top tier editing skills...amazing work, thank you so much for doing it. I love wakfu, i have been playing ankama games since 2007, loved the season 1 and 2 of the cartoon ( season 3 is meh and oropo is... a joke). Since the beginning one of the things i loved the most of ankama was his world building, the lore of the krosmoz, the gods and of course, the characters a bit like greek myths with his own mythology. Nox is... well , is properly written, but what makes him shine is that brilliant backstory cap , noximilien le horloger. In the series he has his moments, his motives make you empathize with him at some degree, looks cool... but damn, in the end he looks like a mad and bad boi that likes to make long monologues in a fight, losing a lot of chances. Even in the end, when he is so close to get to his goals, he still has fucking time to brag and understimate yugo and adamai instead of killing them quickly. But the way they portray him in the "ova"? , oh BOI, thats is in another level, a simple history, repeated many times, but its just the way to tell you everything, so subtle, what make this chapter and nox, brilliant , just in half an hour. All his insecurities transmited by tiny pieces of dialogue, his virtues, the wonderful father and loving husband he is at the beginning, until he cross his path with the eliacube, and the way he progressively loses the battle again his obsession and external/divine forces TWICE (he sure had bad luck)... and that end, so powerful, so tormented, so frustrated and lost, SO angry with time, which he calls "the greatest scammer", defying xelor, promising destiny he will retrieve his family...and, fun fact: he almost make it!, but ankama make a "bullshit move" with the "N stole all his wakfu just before he jumps in time" (now non canon and then a plot hole).

Wow I actually didn’t know about the N plot hole? I love getting into Eliotrope/Eliatrope lore and yet I never seem to find anything on the now non-canon Wakfu:Les Gardiens content. Do you have any links to explanations on it?

In another world at another time Nox could have been the Hero of the Story
I appropriated the name but I have a dnd character loosely based off of him. She was trying to find a solution to her kid sisters illness and was manipulated into preforming experiments on herself and because of this she was driven into a brilliant insanity and turned herself into a artificial warforged. But she still has her human face hidden behind a metal plating. And she has no memories of her past so she desperately searching for clues

Ok so i was rewatching the last episodes and Yugo did returned Nox to the past.When Nox rewind time you can see particels of a blonde man which is Nox before he got fully corupted.I am not sure but that's one of my theories.

I don't really like wakfu but if I had to pick one thing to say was my favorite about the show it would be nox.
When I was a little kid my big brother put the first season of wakfu and you know when your younger you fill different things like better towards things when your older and when the robot and nox where in the show I would fill that

He do such cruel things like killing whole nation for this sneaky eleocube only because of a small hope to turn back time for 200 years. He was sure that none of his deeds mattered, because he would be able to rewind time and nothing of what he had done would happen. To be honest, if I had the opportunity to correct all the mistakes in the past, if I had lost my family because of my obsession with some thing, and I would have been given a chance to correct mistakes-I would have acted like Nox

If the time travel theory is true, then that's probably the most twisted thing I've ever seen in any cartoon. He killed thousands of people, just so he could go back in time. And then when he came back, he caused the very thing that he had tried to fix in the first place.
and that was a mistake he realised and so with it and the HEAVY guilt he ended him self as folks say, tbh i hope the god of death gives him a fair eternal for a man driven to obsession deserves the joy once he learns of when he has messed up trying to fix what he just did never knowing it till his life ends.

Après beaucoup d'attente, et quelques déboires, il est enfin là ! Mon premier AMV complet depuis... oh merde, des années ? Et en utilisant un dessin animé français pas moins. Je me suis beaucoup amusé avec celui-ci. Ma seule préoccupation est que certaines parties n'aient de sens que pour quelqu'un qui a vu la série, et la spéciale de Nox.

One thing I don't get is if they did teleport 200 years into the past using almost all of nox's wakfu storage and nox didnt notice, then when he went back in time 20 min to before they went back 200 years, wouldnt the wakfu be restored back to before it was used for nox to use and try again?
Also that quote abt if succeed or if i fail etc where is that from? Ive never heard nox say that
the thing is that Nox actualy got what he wanted but then it was stripped away from him again

Nox is awesome but he feels out if place in the show given how everything is very cartoony and hes more dark and mature
I have been watching for 14 years ago on TV. The only big positive asset of this anime is Nox who brings meaning in this show.
