Major spoilers below, just so people don't get pissed. Only read if you want to be spoiled if you haven't seen the show. Is it bad that I cried at Nagisa's death and not Ushio's? I thought Ushio's was definitely more heartbreaking for me, but it was just too much of a shock for me to do anything but stare wide-eyed at the screen in pure shock
@@TenshiNakano no same, probably cause we knew it was coming but we all kinda half wished nagisa would still stay alive and so it hit really hard when she died i remembered crying so hard when she died
For an improv, this is SO amazing. It really, really takes me back to those times sitting in front of my PC watching this anime and crying. Music, the ultimate high art capable of inducing every conceivable emotion. This is amazing, just amazing.
Hobby or Career: that totally depends on your opportunities at the moment. If you have enough popularity or you have the chance of getting popular, then career might be an option. I'd certainly love to be an anime pianist performer in the future. It's a dream of mine~
You put together every version of Nagisa's theme together to make this beautiful improv/medley! Amazing! You used Nagisa's theme, Nagisa's Warm Piano Arrangement, Dango Daikazoku and Chiisana Tenohira! Thank you, Ishter!
MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD-----the end of the first season was beautiful. Akio's speech to her at the end was amazing. also when ushio said "i can only cry in the bathroom and in dady's arms" Manly tear were shed that day
I was inspired by listening to classical music. The complexity of the compositions of classical music really intrigued my young brain back then. So many intricate details and colors produced with the piano, it's quite amazing.
Evan Dugas G Senjou No Maou is about a girl who had a family of musicians, her mother once had a concert in a building and all of her family was in attendance, little did they know that the whole structure was rigged by explosives and the girl was the only one that survived. She was about to pass out but then the culprit approached her and told her "I will let you live. Let's play a game of hero and villain, when you grow up, find me, I will keep in contact in many ways." His motive was unknown but the man was quite young, perhaps still a teenager but he was a genius for pulling something off and keeping in contact with her to make sure the hero and the villain can keep playing the game of chase. He called himself -Maou- (The Devil), and he is a complete genius in everything he does and all types of thinking. For once in the life of the hero, she was alone, also waiting to be saved, before she is the one who saves. Grisaia No Kajitsu is about a boy who attended a special school, where all students that gather there are only students with sorrowful pasts. Before he attended, the boy saved the principal from a hostage crisis in a certain airport, the principal was in gratitude, therefore offered him to attend the school, for he said that he wanted to become a student in a normal school, this was the offer because the boy also had a dreadful past, along with his desire to attend a school, before, he was part of the military because he was never shown any sort of affection by his parents, who had also passed away when he was only a tiny lad, it's a long story. The school he now attends only has five students, him being the sixth, he complained to the principal when he realized this isn't exactly a "normal" school. Well, the grading system, the teachings, the period of time in classes and dismissals were indeed normal, but perhaps he was referring to the number of students being an ebb. The story of the prodigal child continues. P.S. Visual Novels are a MUST BEFORE EVERYONE IN THE WORLD LITERALLY DIE.
Hmm, I guess music has been actually my life ever since my RUclips got more and more attention. It's how I got into transcribing and it's the reason why in the afternoons, I think of transcription ideas instead of playing video games. My advice is to get a really good teacher. Although if you really prefer self-teaching yourself, be prepared to always challenge yourself, or it'll be a very slow improvement. Play hard classical pieces, research drills and technique exercises.
I am right handed. I started watching anime when I was a kid. Dragonball, Pokemon, etc. I started arranging anime music about halfway through my piano experience: so about 5 years ago. My other youtube account was deleted by youtube due to copyright infirngement. I can stretch 11 keys on my left hand, 10 keys on my right hand. I spend from a day to a week practicing depending on the difficulty of the piece.
Alfred T Dude it just hits you right in the feels. damn! Evan though I love it SOOOOO much... It still took my heart :'( The problem was when I finished watching it well.... from the part where nagisa dies all the way to the end I was watching it with my boyfriend. and I balled my eyes out in front of him! X'D I miss clannad so much... I WANT MORE!!!!! :'(
Not sure about periods of music, I didn't study music theory so I have very little knowledge other than Bach died before Rachmaninoff did. With that said, I love Rach, Liszt, Chopin, and the usual mainstream classical composers. I LOVE Szymanowski's works though and I only found out about him not too long ago.
Sawashiro Miyuki is my absolute favorite voice actress (voice of Inaba from Kokoro Connect). I don't have any favorite English VA since I don't watch dubs.
Very little I took lessons. Most of my piano experience is purely self-study. I think I was inspired by classical music and classical pianists back then. Now, other youtube pianists such as Animenz and Pianeet inspire me to improve my technique and composition skills.
What can I say, it's an amazing blend between two OSTs, beautiful improvisation and every note was delivered spot-on. It again, brought tears to my eyes as it made me recall the happy and sad and the nostalgic from clannad, hence my childhood. Thanks again for the beautiful music.
Learning sheet music is best with a good teacher. It's the fastest way to learn to read. After that, it's just practice reading, like reading books. You start with easier stuff, then move on to more advanced works. Music theory and sheet music ability isn't necessary to improvise, but it does help technique which in turn helps to improvise.
I've been playing for 9 years now, mostly self-study and without a teacher. I think the best way to motivate yourself is to find someone on your level and have a rivalry (not necessarily negative) relationship with them. Competition always causes improvement. Small hands are great for runs and fast passages, actually. So you might want to focus on those arrangement styles. Practice a lot of Bach for finger exercises, and if you want octave skills, Liszt's is there with his maniacal pieces.
I definitely recommend anyone to take lessons. It's also important to find a good teacher. It's much better than self-studying (although that's coming from a person who self-studies).
Actually, I almost go with just standard settings. I don't change much of the dials around, other than making the dynamics a bit wider so that mistakes aren't as easily audible. This is because as the dynamics slider increases, the difference between the softest sound and the loudest sound is much further apart.
I have a question for the AMA. Im currently learning to play the piano but I dont have lessons or a piano. I simply play whenever there is a piano available. My question is what path should I follow to start learning? Where should I try to start progressing as I'm learning? Any specific online lessons that are suggested?
That would depend on what you would like to do with the piano. I've had some lessons when I was younger but I kinda just dropped it. If you want to play the piano just to play songs that you like, then don't even bother with lessons, just maybe learn to read the scripts (or what I do is watch synthesia and write more layman notes). You really would want to actually take lessons if you plan to write your own songs or decipher songs by yourself
There are probably some online lessons on RUclips or you can just search websites that may have them. But in terms of what you should learn, learn where the notes are, both major and minor chords that is just basic though. eventually what you should really do is just get a feel for the piano and the rest comes later. But that's the basic stuff you should learn first.
I have been playing the piano for over 15 years, but not even 1 minute did I ever touch the lesson book. You can do it with just passion, pick the piecesbof anime ost you like and just do it !!!
Dude, i have respect for you. To master such a beautiful song, and then bend it to something equally as good as it's original. (the skip ending ruins it a little bit but that's my opinion) Keep up the amazing work!
Hmm, Clannad After Story is certainly on top of there. Not because I relate to the characters, but because of how the creators made them relatable. I don't have the same life experience as the characters, but I still managed to empathize with them as I'm sure with many others.
Depending on my motivation, from 0 minutes to an hour of practice a day. Nope, since I'm self-studying, I am not involved in RCM program, or any programs so I have completely no idea what grade I am in. In regards to improvisation, your best bet is to ask Animenz. I'm still working of my improvisation skills lol.
I haven't played much Steinway so I can't give an objective answer to that, especially since my grand piano at the moment is a Yamaha piano. I'm really liking the Yamaha key action at the moment though, and the attack of the sound and tone as well.
Of course. I watch anime like people watch regular tv shows. Anime music is abundant, with new OPs and EDs every season, so it doesn't run out of music to listen to.
Yeah, I want to keep improving my improvisation skills. Right now it's really not as good as I want it to be. I think improvisation comes with the skill to keep tempo and the skill of using various techniques on the spot as well as memorizing melodies and playing them right away without preparation beforehand.
A lot of difficult classical piano pieces, which most of them I never managed to master. Still, I managed to learn a lot from it technique wise. Watching master classes on RUclips also is a nice help.
ive seen the series a few times its sooo sad i cry even thinking of it now i listen to this its soo beautiful and always will be im even crying as i type this i cant wait for the feeling from re:right this summer keep it coming KEY you are doing it soo beautiful
i learnt the simpler version (the original) three years ago and played it again and agin because it reminded my of my little brothers and sisters... I shall learn this to make my love cry out how much they make me happy x Thank you for doing this... even if its a late comment, thank you
The left hand should always be very relaxed. If your left hand is tensing up, you need to change that. One thing is to play the notes, another is to play the notes with finesse and effortlessness. Play those jumps like they were made for your hands only.
I transcribe a song if I like the song and have the motivation to make an arrangement of it. I practice from a day to a week depending on how difficult the song is.
Any piece that will challenge you. Learn what you like to listen to. I love the sound of Liszt pieces, so that's what I learned. Anything challenging, you will learn from one way or another. New technique, new ways of interpretations, etc.
2am here, and this is such a nice song to listen to looking out my balcony~ The soothing playing and the nice scenery is just so beautiful. ^.^ Thanks for the upload!!
Beethoven's Pathetique sonata, 1st movement in particular. It's a pretty challenging movement, in comparison to the more popular and slower 2nd movement.
I think all you'd need to make me cry about Clannad again is to add this to a voiceover of Tomoya talking about all the good times they had together and the promise she made to him. I can already tear up just imagining it.
Hearing this made me remember the time i spent with my father, how he care for me, how he supported me, and how he was always there on my side on times i need him. those memories, I cried. *sniff *
I improved by comparing my works with other youtube pianists such as Animenz. If I feel that I'm not doing well enough, then I strive to be better and that causes me to improve my transcriptions.
having a someone like a rival to motivate you is really helpful I just never heard anyone say it. Especially if they are regarded as "better" you really push yourself to exceed that level.
Hopefully to be a full time anime musician. Other than that, to finish my Psychology degree and enlighten my world views with what I have learned in university.
Transcribing usually takes half of the total time. Depending on the song, it might take me from a day to a week to practice a song and make it almost perfect.
I met Animenzzz through RUclips. My biggest pet peeve is insensitivity. Probably the most difficult piece is Liszt's Réminiscences de Don Juan. Quotes from Little Busters are my favorites.
It's often said that you need 10000 hours before you master something. And since I'm almost at my 10th year of piano practice, I'd say that statement is generally true of piano.
This song is incredible! You are awesome!I thought that Animenz was a little better than you but I changed my mind! You are equally talented!Your songs are absolutely beautiful and intense!Congratulations! You have earned a subscriber! :-)
Only time I cried was when Ushio said "I am only allowed to cry in the bathroom... and in my father's arms." It was a truly glorious moment.
I cried like 20 times while watching it.. This was one of the moments..
Episode18 is the best episode...
I showed my mum that scene and it made her cry... She rarely cries in anything especially anime.

already 20 years...
i watch this video ever so often just too remind myself of this anime... it's 2024

Almost 2023 and I'm still listening to a great interpretation and performance.

I think he added only Chiisana Tenohira + Episode22 + Chiisana Tenohira at the end and make the new ending
But yeah it's really touching to me I almost cried but the end pulled up me not to cry.

How ironic. "The palm of a tiny hand" yet his hands are gigantic.
Bediki they are just about normal sized.
Keshav Raghu Well my hands must be insanely small then
Bediki nah I'm over 6 feet. so i probably have a different definition of normal :p
Keshav Raghu I see... Fking tall people always make me feel so small xD
Bediki no I think when they mean a palm of a tiny hand I think they are referring to ushio
my chest hurts and my eyes are teared up so much i can't see, yep, you captured Clannad perfectly! awesome job!
When I remember to answer them, yeah. Most of the time I forget though...

I have a question for the AMA.

I can tell you love Clannad just as much as I do. Every note that plays is filled with emotion.
I love how there is always something different sitting on your piano. Great song (as usual)
Quite good now, that it's rested. Hopefully it doesn't come back... I have a few projects going on this summer.
You're the best T^T I respect you.
"galing mo" bruh
Of course. I watch anime like people watch regular tv shows. Anime music is abundant, with new OPs and EDs every season, so it doesn't run out of music to listen to.
ugh i ADORE clannad. this is SUCH a beautiful rendition.
My feels have dried out after watching your anohana video and others
Inori chan what are you doing there...
aahahahahhaha
Yeah, I want to keep improving my improvisation skills. Right now it's really not as good as I want it to be.
I think improvisation comes with the skill to keep tempo and the skill of using various techniques on the spot as well as memorizing melodies and playing them right away without preparation beforehand.
A lot of difficult classical piano pieces, which most of them I never managed to master. Still, I managed to learn a lot from it technique wise.

Animenz already has a great arrangement for it.
Awesome! This is my favorite song from the OST, and you did a beautiful job
"Home again... ♫"
Wow.. the feels.. Reading this and listening to this beautiful piece at the same time is kind of dramatic. Congrats on graduating :)
I only had a very few lessons. I have 9 years of piano experience, and 8.5 of those 9 years I'm self-studied. I'm self-studying now, in fact.
Yes indeed!
This Melody always bring tears to my eyes
2am here, and this is such a nice song to listen to looking out my balcony~
The soothing playing and the nice scenery is just so beautiful. ^.^
Thanks for the upload!!
Oh god, why didn't I find this video sooner?! This is pure brilliance.
I love this show!! I watched the whole thing as fast as possible and it's beautiful it really is!! Great job it sounds perfect
Beethoven's Pathetique sonata, 1st movement in particular. It's a pretty challenging movement, in comparison to the more popular and slower 2nd movement.

I like to play classical music once in a while. I don't do much classical nowadays though.
Tehishter, you're the best. Hands down.
Hopefully to be a full time anime musician. Other than that, to finish my Psychology degree and enlighten my world views with what I have learned in university.
Depending on my motivation, from none to an hour or two a day.
I don't really have a go to song, I just improvise songs if I'm bored.
Can you please promise us that you won't stop publishing such wonderful works?
I think I'm most proud with "sister's noise" at the moment. I really spent a lot of effort arranging it.
do you have the sheet music for this??
I also want it badly D:
Transcribing usually takes half of the total time. Depending on the song, it might take me from a day to a week to practice a song and make it almost perfect.
Beautiful, just beautiful.
Sometimes I spend an hour just doing takes. If I'm not satisfied by then, I try to record again the next day.
I met Animenzzz through RUclips.
My biggest pet peeve is insensitivity.
Probably the most difficult piece is Liszt's Réminiscences de Don Juan.
