If one was so inclined , one could use a RPI to automate and control , well anything.

I would be interested to see how you combine the two signals with the required isolation...

matlab + rpi + LDMOS = The Future of radio (for some of us)

Love the siglent gear. I just bought the sds1032, and the same sig gen by siglent. Definately want to complete the setup

When you have money, then everything is easy, and if you don't...like me?

I’ll finish this tomorrow, I gotta get to sleep . Beautiful looking work bench 👍

Very interesting stuff , I am doing very similar work , never thought about using matlab like this , using RPI's allow me to write the code in python, now going to take a close look at matlab as well

I messed with the RPI and python some years ago. It was neat but the whole unit just felt like an experimenting kit... like it didn't have real utility. Since then I've gotten into the world of PLCs, HMIs, pro level hardware and the practical applications are far better. Price of these items is cheap too. Basic PLC for 50 bucks, HMI for 100 etc. Also with the price of laptops these days... I just can't bring myself to get into RPI. Arduino is another story though... found a few great projects for them.

I used VST running real-time on a drum kit back in the day. Fun stuff!!

Super cool. As a software engineer with electronics as a hobby, I can totally see the value of automating your test gear for repeatability, consistency, data capture, and just saving time. Nice work!

You know that saying when you’re on the phone with you’re mom trying to get her recipe for fried chicken , and finally you say “hey mom we’re not splitting atoms here , just give it to me in layman’s terms, how much flour do I use ?” ,, well , this is like splitting atoms . I’m really interested , I want to start learning basic cb repair and start building a work bench , but this stuff overwhelms me
