    That Aerostar needs to be revived. I remember the Truckin" article on it. Boyds was THE wheel when I was a teen, I always wanted a set on a C1500. When Chezoom came out, I wrote a fan letter to Boyd, and got a wheel flyer in return.

    I was getting out of mini trucks and into off roading about the time Boyd's was making their acendance, so I just caught some of this in passing from folk's who were still into trucks when I was getting back into farming (loooonng story). Now, I'm just curious about what was going on when I was trying to keep the family farm in the family.....

    I remember growing up in the 80s and 90s. Back then, custom wheels were known as "Boyds" thats what we called all custom wheels and back then I thought thats what they were all called. Boyd Coddington was bigger than life and I only wish I had the opportunity to meet him.

      Senior's show ruined his image. The way it was presented, whether it was real or edited for t.v. ratings, was a head scratcher. Why would you want the public presented with an image of an arrogant man who allowed a rude shitbag(Dwayne) run your shop and treat your employees like worthless fools?

    • @dinxsy8069
      @dinxsy8069 Год назад

      @@ThomasJones-ij6hv I didn't say the show, prior to the setup car builds. Boyd was there with the greats

    • @ThomasJones-ij6hv
      @ThomasJones-ij6hv Год назад

      @@dinxsy8069 I can't argue that Boyd wasn't up there with the greats, because he was, Cadzilla is a personal favorite of mine. Prior to the show all custom car fans knew of him, probably read interviews, and watched the occasional tv segment. The show came along and the public saw more of his "personal" life. Whether he realized it or not his personality was abrasive, the way he treated his employees was bad, and it looked like he couldn't run a business. It hurt his image. The younger generation who started their car interest when the show came out saw the man before they knew of the legend. Half were into imports by then. So yes HRBB is going for name recognition but how much is it worth? I think alot less then if the show wasn't on.✌️

      Inspiration comes from many places, Chris Coddington has taken inspiration from his dad, is that where your inspiration to be an a##hole come from, YOUR dad?
