I'm a sucker for this song, and I am a huge Tori enthusiast... I can't imagine a more beautiful rendition. Reflects the melancholia of the original with that undescribable subtle twist that only Tori can add.
At the second Moody Blues concert I attended -- it was in 1994 -- the venue was playing Tori's "Under the Pink" album before the show started. I can't believe I had no idea she did this cover until today!
Irony man, I feel the same way... she really manages to capture the feeling of the entire symphony from the moody blues original with just her piano...and the vocal blows me away...
This version is wonderful...sorr yto say the only video of her doing this song on YT is a bad cover..way too slow..this one flows..the other does not work.
amazing!! would have been even more amazing if she did "the lament" part of the song, but that takes the song to over 7 minutes and its all spoken...maybe get Neil Gaiman to recite that part while she plays piano and it would be perfect!
I really don't know if I could survive this world without her music, or her musical interpretations. I love this...
I totally understand this feeling.
There will never be other artists like this again..
As a Moody Fan of 20 years, I always hope to hear their music done in a way by others that gives me similar feelings that the boys do. She nailed it.

Cool cover :-)
I wish she’d do a cover of silent lucidity. One of the most beautiful rock ballads ever sung by the most beautiful voice ever.
Me too !! I've had the same wish !!
