From an incredible station stay at Banka Banka Station we head north chasing the sun and some stunning swimming holes. In this episode follow us as we visit an Australian outback classic pub, Daly Waters. We also go swimming in what can only be described as a couple of oasis in the desert. The hardest part however, is trying to decide if we love Mataranka Thermal Pool or Bitter Springs the most? Mataranka Campground / Homestead has a short 250m walk that takes you through a palm fringed boardwalk to a sandy bottom pool, that allows you to soak up the surroundings, relax, and take it all in. When heading south to north, Bitter Springs is the second thermal pool that gives you the chance to explore its natural beauty. A very short 200m walk from the carpark you are presented with a ladder to drop into the thermal waters. Just be sure to take your pool noodle or other floaties so you can lay back and let the river flow take you down stream. Oh, and we hope you enjoy the first episode of "Cooking With Jess".
The lad who owns dunmurra. His name is gary. He has a huge poisonous snake collection he catches from at the back of the of his place there. He does amazing counter meals too. He is a good mate of mine. Great video guys.
I’m pretty sure we met Gary when we were there! Didn’t see the snake collection though, so we’ll have to go back and drop your name so we can go have a look 😂. If the vanilla slice is anything to go by, the counter meals would be damn good! I’m curious though…. How did you originally meet Gary?
@@Explore_oz met Gary when i lived in Darwin. I was in the road trains with my uncle and my friends dad over the years up there and met him as we were locals going through there all the time for dinner in the truck. But Gary's meals there are unreal. And massive!
Did Jess have a couple of GandTs before the cooking segment. Well done Jess, very humorous. Your videos are getting better and better with this one being the pinnacle.
Believe it or not, she was completely sober when we filmed that segment 😂. It was a good bit of fun that’s for sure. Appreciate the kind words too, we are slowly wrapping our heads around filming and editing. Hopefully we can keep up the standard 👌👍
Thank you so much legend! We are slowly wrapping our heads around filming and editing 👌😂 You don’t need to lose weight, just gotta get out and explore!
100% need more "Cooking with Jess" segments. It's been so long since I've made dough, gonna have to give it a shot when I hit the road :P. The video is making me eager to get back to the Top End!! Enjoy!
Jess is sort of keen to make more “Cooking with Jess” segments, don’t know if I’ll be able to convince her but I’ll be trying! 😂 You gotta start exploring down the south east before worrying about the top end again!
Cooking with Jess segment had us giggling 😂 loved it though! Might try that wrap recipe but with sourdough starter. Good vids guys- Levi loves watching them 💕
We have to admit it was a good bit of fun filming the cooking section 😂. And it was all one take too! Thanks so much to you and Levi for watching along 🥰
Katherine hot springs is a beautiful place to relax and take in the scenery 👌. We’ll see what we can do about the cooking segments, it shouldn’t be too hard to convince her to film some more 😂😂
