Big thank you for this, Channing. I've been having some trouble with this for about a year now... I'm the one who keeps ordering replacement parts for the Ruby...! 🤣🤣🤣
I have also heard of many people that time these for 'inside admission'. Many people say it makes for smoother running in forward gear, but I am yet to confirm that for myself!

I wish I could even get mine to spin over. Still can’t even after following all these tips.

Great video! Thanks Channing, I just bought one of these. Will you ever make the tenders for these again? I think I met you at the convention in Portland last August.

I timed my ruby kit in reverse and it seemed to run better. Didnt have much luck in forward but reverse it runs like a breeze.

Hi Channing. My Ruby while being quite old runs in one direction just fine. However in the other direction there is no power. I don't want to begin changing anything or removing parts is there something I can try please that might improve it. Many thanks

For the factory built RTR locos, is there much of a break in period for these? Trying to determine if it still needs to run more or possibly reset the timing.
    Thanks!
