I kinda feel like what happened was that she convined them into 9, then forgot that she would be a part of said 9, being so passionate about making it happen. So when told to recruit 9 talents she went and did that, then realized that she would also be performing and they ended up with 10 people.
Really nice of Cover to be able to adapt to an additional member even over the the additional member they had already agreed to thought.

I love the idea that we can see backstage and watch how much work they actually put into every event/live.

I love how much decision power Suisei have in Hololive, it's always surprising to see.
Like during 4th fes where she was like "I want to appear with Shiraken in day 1 too!" and management didn't even fought back. Now she decided that she wanted 9 people, even with them saying that 8 was the max, and not only was able to do that but also squeeze a 10th member without a problem.
Suisei helps the other a lot with their own 3D anniversary and birthday lives. Still remember the time when she appeared in pretty much every one of those. She loves helping others so they in turn love helping her.

Well, she get things done on the music front. She has collabed with countless artists and producers over the years, which is very valuable for Cover, and is a solid singer herself. She's also top10 in terms of subscribers, so really one of their star talent.
The only other holomem that fits the same criteria is Calli, who's likely enjoying a similar support by the company. Cover always wanted to get into music, thus the huge concerts, the new studio investment, recruiting talented singers.
It's also just not her Suisei is also super stubborn that she won't take no if she knows she can push a bit more. Other talents have also gotten some requests you wouldn't imagine they could get it's just not as big as this. That's why managers are there. They negotiate with the higher ups for the desires of the talents
Hololive management when working with the talents is like a rich dad who does things by the book but always agrees to help you with all your requests as long as they are not binded by problems that are absolutes
I respect Sui for always pushing for what she wants when management doesn't have a good reason for why it can't be done.
I really like your editing style for her twitter spaces, it reminds me a lot of nonkini's style covering her radio show!

Managers saying 8 for various reasons, Suisei insisting on 9 because that's how many performers My Mai Tonight has (perhaps forgetting she counts as one of the performers because she is too into the producer role in the moment), they eventually agree and schedule 9 members and then realize "Wait, Hoshimachi-san you are a talent too. We have 10 performers." Really fun to imagine.

Somehow this project kinda remind me of a manga idol x idol story by Tokunou Shoutaro.
Where a veteran idol become a producer and forming new groups of idol. And their progress are updated regularly via sns.

I think one of the reasons why management doesn't always accept projects like this is because sometimes something like what I saw today happens, at one point it looked like a birthday stream was happening because among Japanese members there was only Miko and some other member of ReGloss streaming

oh so it is right that this is probably her first project that involved lots of Hololive members. Usually Sui's project is all about herself after all.

Showing them practicing before an event is a very idol thing to do, except it's not an included bonus when you buy the concert DVDs/Blu-rays that includes the BTS. lol.

LOL this reminds me of this Churchill quote about the Naval Arms Race leading up to WW1:
"The Admiralty had demanded six ships; the economists offered four; and we finally compromised on eight."
Thought having not watched the clip yet (I have uni and stuff, probably can only watch 4 hours later once that's over) I can see how that happened. Management originally said you can only have 8 because of concerns about simultaneous tracking or scheduling, Suisei asked for 9 because that's how many My Mai Tonight has, in the end management gave in but after picking 9 members they (that is both management and Suisei) that counting Suichan they actually had 10 people.
Thought my guess might not be correct, I'll find out when I watch the clip properly later.
Edit: Having fully watched this now (took quite a while to get myself to the right headspace for clips even after arriving home for some reason). But yeah, it definitly feels like she forgot about herself when looking to recruit 9 people lol, what an adorable dork she is. Also loved seeing her concern for the other members, Suisei maji yasashii.
That was mainly because the public saw the Germans trying to arms race the British by building 11 dreadnoughts and 3 battlecruisers, and since Britain had only started building 7 dreadnoughts and 4 battlecruisers of their own, they realized they needed to leapfrog the Germans, hence the 8 ships
@@UthurRytan Yeah, I know it was public pressure because of the Naval Arms Race with Germany but I mainly wrote the comment because management saying 8, Suisei asking for 9 and then ending up at 10 really did remind me of that quote. It is true that it is not exactly the same situation and that there is more context behind the quote but I didn't feel that was really relevant.
