0:52 A huge thanks to you from Taiwan!❤ I struggled for the bios not updating, after watching your video I found out my problem is not checking the REV 1.3, after that I successfully update my bios into the latest version, this video really helps me out, thanks again!

Hi! I'm thinking of building a new pc with the 9800x3d and the Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX Ice. I've never updated the bios before so when you say this at 2:39 (on the website it says "Update AMD AGESA 1.2.0.2a for next gen Ryzen X3D CPU performance optimized) does that mean that I will still be able to build the computer normally and see if everything works and then update the bios? Or do I need to update if before I even try to assemble everything? Thanks!

Chances are you will be able to build the pc as normal. The update will just unlock the full performance of the cpu. If that isn't the case you can use q flash without installing the cpu.

I have the gigsbyte x670e auros pro x. I’m pairing it with the 9800x3d but I haven’t built the pc yet. Pc part picker says the mobo will need to be at least update f30 to pair with the 9800x3d. Will I be able to build the pc normally?

You should be able to build it normally, but to unlock its full performance, you will need to update the bios. If it doesn't boot properly the Motherboard supports q flash without having a cpu and ram, you will need to have access to another computer so you can download the bios on a thumb drive.

No need to do this for X870 boards, right?

That might not necessarily be the case. Best thing to do is go into your BIOS and find what version you are using, then go to the website and compare it to the BIOS versions after it.

The box will have the revision number on it somewhere. If you have trouble finding it on the box, it will be on the bottom left-hand corner of the motherboard.
