Why do they separate their packs into about three stacks when the pass them to the next player? Does it act as an additional shuffle or is it to show the judge they didn't accidentally take an extra card?
Because if they just passed the pack then the person sitting next to them would see what order they left the pack in, and they would know what cards they value most highly, and probably what style and or set they're playing.
I'ma god dam potato But they also shuffle. I think he refers to how they flare them out when they set them down. I think TheChocolateBlock probably got it right about showing judges how many cards are there.
Brave the Sands is a poor card for limited in my view. As Marshall was saying, one of the fun aspects of KTK limited is how even the pros disagree upon the power level of some of the cards.
Really don't like Reid's deck. He has a slight Warrior theme and a good late game, but if he ever stumbles on mana or an opponent gets a fast start he's just never going to get in the game. Great cards, but doesn't look like a great deck.
13:42 - man I can't believe he passed the Disowned Ancestor there!

Just counting cards passed; ensures all-around consistency. It’s hard to reverse a botched draft when a player accidentally passes too few cards.
If he woulda jus went mardu early he would be so set
I am just wondering why he let go of both Brave the Sands that passed by him, that card is super powerful in limited especially for his deck type.
yeah lr were down on it but it is actually ok. i kept forgetting that my opponent could multi block me

the drummer of death grips?????
It's a shame that I couldn't make it even though I live in Hawaii ;-;
6:49 they put the wrong card up lmao
His picks power level are over 9000!
nice glare..
My goodness that camerawork.. tons of glare and zero focus. I hope that cameraman doesn't get payed too much....
It’s not easy to do, I didn’t think it was bad at all

This is not Reid Duke, it doesn’t look like him at all. Why are you using impostors to emulate good players of the past?
