That predates Matrix ripping it off. Been in tons of KF movies, Jackie Chan's Drunken Master 2 comes to my mind, but more likely they are referring to Van Damme doing it in his movies as thats who Johnny was originally a knock off of in the OG MK.

Injustice 2 had a 240 Second Default Timer for the Entire Match. 120 Seconds per Round in MK1 for 3 Rounds is a Very Long time.
If street fighter 6 can include a deep and refined create a character mode that you can play with in any mode then no excuses why nrs doesn't have one for mk 1 because it was the most popular mode in mortal kombat armageddon without question that added so much replayability long term and is a huge fan service to fighting game and mk fans period!

The character roster should be at least 28 character roster but I'd rather it be 32 to 42 characters roster no season pack just to add more characters later bullshit. No stupid mobile grinding mechanics to gather currency to unlock shit, better unlockable content, a deep create a character mode, no stupid guest characters just give me all mortal kombat characters, all the pit fatalities and arena death hazards from all previous mk entries, a deeper conquest mode thats more explorable and interactive with fleshed out quests with meaningful things to do in each realm that doesn't suck!
I don't think that will happen. Kameos are the main gimmick in the game, there apart of fatal blows and breakers, they are the main selling mechanic of the game.
It actually was like that back in mk1 and 2. If you tried to do the nut punch against a female character,Johnny wouldn't even punch,he'd just so the splits.

As long as it doesn't have the real movie skins of Shang Tsung, Johnny, Raiden, Sonya, Kano, and others, this game will never beat MK11 No way in hell. Mk Deception & Armageddon are by far the best, because of Konquest Mode.
I played the beta today. The game is terrible: 1) Cameo, are you kidding??? The fight must be one on one! Is that all you have enough imagination for??? 2) The graphics are the same as in MK11. Where is the new generation??? Game with PS4 graphics... +++ I'm very disappointed and I'm not the only one who holds this view...
I hope it's because the game is still development but the graphics and animations are really really bad. so stiff, no life, no ambitions at all... The last 3 Mortal Kombat did it way better. fingers crossed.
