*Thank you* for this. 6 minutes into my first video on your channel and I've instantly subscribed. I've been grappling with and resisting the whole "establishing a consistent brand voice" as I take my 15 years of photography from personal passion to profession. The bottom line is, I don't *want* to edit everything the same way. I don't *want* to always use the same focal length. I don't *want* to always emphasize the same colors and tones. I don't *want* to do anything the pros say we have to do in order to establish a recognizable photography voice. There is so much beauty, and each type of image deserves its own representation based on what shows it the best. To constrain myself into a professional profile is to cut myself off from the breadth of my artistic vision. There will just have to be another way to attract an audience. Maybe, as you point out here, my reason for photographing will itself be apparent in my images. I photograph to remind myself that no matter how scary the world seems, there is still beauty everywhere- and often, in the most ordinary things. And I want to show that to others.
"To create photographs of nature to discover healing" it is too personal to me. Thank you for this great video. I will definitely watch it over & over again. I do subscribed.
thank you. This came at a good time for me as I have been reevaluating my photography. To create photographs that share transcendence in nature to help people connect and preserve.
