He is probably a young bird to be rambling on like that, as they age they tend to quiet down and learn context. My African Grey Rio only says hello when you enter the house, and only says see you later as you leave, she also says good morning until around 8 am. She know over 300 words.

Those African Grays are very smart, and for a door opening that loudly, and the camera's recording system, you'd think you'd hear footsteps or the bird's pupils would be smaller than they were, unless they don't do that often. :]
They sleep when you sleep. And mine doesn't speak that often. usueally she practices when no one is watching, or when there's already a backhround noise like tv or vacuum

Penguin they dont have vocal cords in deed but I have parrots and was curious about this years ago.They can mimic the sounds using their trachea in the throat, Kind of similar to how I whistle by loosening or tightening the pressure with my tongue

It's amazing how similar African Grey Parrots are. I had one named Cairo for about 10 years and this bird is almost identical, right down to him standing on one foot to doing a "morning chatter" routine. They are so incredibly smart, like having a young child around all the time.
