Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is an action-adventure video game that will be released exclusively for Nintendo Switch. The game is being developed by Nintendo and will be released on 12 May 2023. It is the sequel to the successful predecessor The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The game retains many aspects of its predecessor, such as the open world of Hyrule, which has been expanded to allow for more vertical exploration. Players can create their own routes through the vast landscapes of Hyrule and the mysterious islands in the wide skies. The main focus of the game is on crafting items such as weapons and armour to enhance the player's character. The plot of the game follows on from the events of Breath of the Wild.
