This wasn't technically a "review." You did no testing. This was you showing the contents of the box and then talking abut how both the dermatologist and in-home methods work. Maybe the title should be "overview," not review.
I've been very presently surprised with my little at home IPL. A month in, and the hair is growing drastically slower. Mind you - I'm a perfect candidate. I have fair skin and dark hair.
As a doctor myself I found this video as being excellent. The video was to the point and very informative I am not sure what others are complaining. Many thanks for this informative and well made video.
I found this to be informative. My spare dollars just went into RF microneedling lol, so for hair removal I'll try the cheap IPL route first, and if unhappy with the results I'll see an actual dermatologist. I understand these devices won't remove 100% of the hair anyway, but if I can reduce my shaving burden for $100 it might be worthwhile.
@@DrTimothyJochen So I'm gonna come back and affirm that what you said was accurate.. the IPL device I bought for $50 did NOT make a noticeable difference on my beard. I ended up paying for 4 sessions of treatment (using a commercial device, I believe it is a Lumenis SplendorX) at my local esthetician. After just ONE treatment I shed over 90% of my dark hairs. Some were simply missed in the first pass, and others were probably in resting phase. In any case if you can't smell burnt hair during treatment, likely nothing is happening lol. None if these treatments are 'cheap' but the at-home IPL is just so under-powered, its a waste of money and a gimmick. The manufacturers are probably worried about being sued, and you end up with an ineffective device.
You need to get with the times. Dude, you may have more degrees than a thermometer-however extensive research DOES support at home IPL devices do work, are safe and effective. Prices physicians charge for laser is why people choose at-home devices. It allows those who can't afford your yacht payments and would otherwise look like Grizzly Adams to look good!
Most of the ppl I know who’ve done laser at a facility have been super unhappy with their results and overall how much it cost them. I’ve heard better results from those who did it at home! A lot of ppl feel scammed the first time around.
I used that temu laser machine and my hairs got white like how they would with a professional laser hair removal sessions. I need to do it a couple of more times to see results.
I wish I knew this stuff before I was silly enough to spend hundreds of dollars at a Beverly Hills salon for the IPL treatments.... I never noticed a difference too but the ladies kept telling me I'll see results if I keep coming in and has to be regular of every month at $300 and I should buy a package of the 6 sessions and usually they say people see changes at session 8 or 10. Yeah after the first package I said I'm done since if it is supposed to make a difference then it shouldn't be THAT subtle and not worth it.
Geezus people how hard is it to understand this is not a product review, this is a video about the whole home ipl concept, if it's safe, if it's worth and his opinion as a dermatologist. Review on home ipl, devices in general
Hi there. I previously did IPL at home on my beard to prevent future ingrowns but it only made it worse. I've been getting tiny white pustules non-stop and I've literally tried everything to stop them. Will the beard grow back fully?. Will the ingrowns go away? Please help.
From what ive seen and read online laser hair removal is the best way to stop flare ups from HS. Why don't dermatologist push to get this an acceptable treatment for HS by the FDA so insurance will cover it for ppl who suffer from it?
Wow, he's just angry that people can do this at home and have great results. He just doesn't want to lose business. It works and it is NOT painful at all. Oh, you also said if you have a pacemaker you shouldn't use ipl and that is false. I have a pacemaker and it does not interfere at all.
Our IPL is a powerful medical device. When he says you should get the treatment if you have a pacemaker, he is referring to the more powerful medical grade IPL. He is not angry at all. At our practice we get way better results than the home version.
I have pcos and have thick chin hair … I have been plucking it and using a blade and then put my make up on but I have a Lux now which I asked for for Xmas off of my family and I got one so hopefully it works. I am mixed raced but put it on level 5 due to how thick my hair on my chin is I want it gone ! People say they cannot see the hair anyway I certainly can and hate the feel Of it !
Hi Timothy. Out of love and respect to my fellow human. Please do NOT have any more plastic surgery. You are on the edge of being a Mickey Rourke. The chin implant may be over the top. I think you’d be very handsome without.

@@markmac9586ndeed they do with at home IPL devices you have to do more sessions per week cause it is not as strong but it still delivers the same results

@playerbionika5341 I don't know how you can do it on the face even with goggles, because that light flashes bright
I’ve used ipl everywhere and it’s never painful, except one time under my arms because I was sweating slightly. It’s not painful in the slightest
did it permanently remove your hair? and did you use it around the nipples or in your private area?
So How many Weeks
Do you Spread Apart when use???

Did you chemical peeling around your eyes dr? Looks like it
He does chemical peels and lasers regularly.
@@DrTimothyJochen Can you please ask the Dr what procedure that is called? I highly need it. Thank you!
I’m sorry but as much as I hate my body hair, I’m not shelling out $5000 for professional laser hair removal.

Is it normal to get a few penny size dry spots on the skin from a professional hair removal laser treatment? I ve had some for over a year

Our IPL device is medical grade and is a lot stronger than the salon or home versions. Ours produces fabulous results!
But you still have to be consistent you can’t change that fact
I have the Monsia Silk Series Pro with ICE tech so its painless and can use for skin rejuvenation also. 😍

My question is can these be used for at home tattoo removal?
I got ipl professionally and it HURTS alot. 😢
I've used at home devices and saw no improvements so I am inclined to think at home devoces dont work.

We don;t use the IPL for hair removal. We have a laser hair removal laser.
