You've piqued my desire to pay a personal visit. The Village shown here is far more colorful and lovely than I remember from the small screen of a black and white television. I love the various ways they paid homage to McGoohan and his unforgettable production. Be seeing you!
Absolutely great. I really enjoyed this. I visited Portmeirion myself last year after watching The Prisoner for the first time. It completely bowled me over in terms of how unique and original it was; way ahead of its time. Walking around Portmeirion was a great experience and discovering many of the places from the series. Watching your wonderful video only brought it all back to me. It's a place that I'm sure I'll visit again very soon.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment Gary. Yes, Portmeirion is very special indeed and there will never be a TV series quite as unique as The Prisoner ever again. Be seeing you x
Very well done indeed. You managed to make reference to many of the episodes. The photos of the village are very nice, I have no idea how you managed to take them without tourists. Perhaps fewer people know its significance these days. Thank you for a delightful upload.
Julian Barnes thank you very much for your lovely comment. I'm so pleased you enjoyed it. The trick is to hold one's breath when the gas is being piped into the guest rooms and then escape either just before sunset or very early in the morning the beat the large 'numbers' of visitors walking around during the day x
Very nicely done. I had the pleasure of staying in The Village some years ago and your video brought back some good memories. I had no idea that Rover was buried there😀 Be seeing you!
VERY well done. Excellent across the board..It is so very nice and refreshing to see actual work and time put in in such a beautifully creative, artistic and fun way..Well done!...THANK YOU for to so..Smiles
I am absolutely D-LIGHT-ed you made this video the clever way you did. Especially enjoyed seeing the London locations used in the 60s series, "The Prisoner." It was a treat to see other views of Portmeirion too, such as the Asian bridge and the pet cemetery. No. 2 would say, "BRILLIANT! WELL DONE!!." I say, "Show us more, please and thank you. Be seeing you!"
Delightful video. We brought friends with us some years ago, after describing McGoohan's series. After entering they asked: "Why was he trying to get out?"
@@Theladytravels I only recently had the opportunity to watch it. I was listening to Lord Doomcock (Overlord DVD on RUclips) and he was talking about "The Prisoner". I had never heard about it. I watched an episode on RUclips (The Arrival), and the opening does look like an outtake from an "anger management film" - LOL!!!
Ha! Yes, Number Six does need to control his temper, although he does have a lot to be angry about (tee hee!). I hope you get to watch and enjoy the rest of the series. My favourite episode is "The Girl Who Was Death" x
@@Theladytravels I am going to enjoy another episode tonight. My husband is home and he has grown fond of The Prisoner as well. I am going to follow your recommendation and watch: The Girl Who Was Death tonight. If you haven't done so, please do come join Lord Doomcock and his merry Dominions for Friday Night Frolics every Friday at around 530pm CST (I know it is a bit late in the UK... 1130pm I think). We are absolutely the best Sci-Fi chat on RUclips, and Doomcock is a master entertainer. Tasha :)
Brilliant! Very well done. I would say more, but that would be telling. :) I did a similar thing years ago taking all the episode titles and using them to narrate a poetic rendition of Barnabas Collins from "Dark Shadows," a contemporary show to McGoohan's Prisoner. Fun stuff. Thanks for making and sharing. Be seeing you. P.S. - my wife came in as I was playing this and was sure I was listening to Jodie Whittaker as the new Dr. Who - then she was wondering what the Doctor was doing in the Village?!! :) Now there's a crossover for you.
There was something super natural in the McGoohan creation as well as in the old UK. What can a I say? Do we live in space time ethnic, cultural and cognitive collective semantic bubbles limited by strict historic boundaries? The past is forever and it doesn't exist... Be seeing you.. Brasil

Excellent use of all the titles of the episodes in your narration.

The bust by Tiziano is ok but it is not 'Patrick' and i think Catherine was being polite with her words when she first saw it.
