I think they meant the blue thing at the side of the pie. It's probably to identify what's inside the pie like what they do for siopao

I'm *really* glad you loved it here in the Philippines! And yes, the hotel rooms. For locals it's quite...pricey. The US Dollars is quite powerful here. And whoever the editor is really knows their Filipino pastries, lol. I feel like Syd (due to her addiction to Ube) and Celine loving Filipino cuisine + Ube and especially liking the San Mig beer makes them basically honorary Filipinas. Well, I hope to see you guys back sometime soon! I unfortunately wasn't able to attend.
John and Celine are so real for sitting in economy cause that's exactly what I will be doing every time 😂
i'd do it on shorter flights. On longer flights (cross country, trans-atlantic/pacfici) I'd go first class, but that's cause I have knee problems
honestly it's not worth it, i'd stay up before and knock out the whole plane ride 😅

You should have asked for pandan grass to take home. It kinda looks like lemon grass and what we would do with it is, we wash it with just water then while we cook rice, when the rice gets to a boil, we just put the pandan grass on the rice and the rice ends up smelling AMAZING.
