The devs of Satisfactory took Josh's save file to help better optimize their game. His chaos went from unplayable frame rate to about 20 fps

@@camellia_vt You should watch the Satisfactory videos.
I don't want to spoil, but let's say he got his reputation from madman to psychopath in his second to last Satisfactory video.

Didn't they keep around ONLY Josh's save after going into full release or.. some such as well? I haven't played it so I'm not 100% up to date, but I've watched Josh break it many times

the funny thing about josh is he is the chaos that fixes games cause devs see how much he can fuck with the games cause no one is as unhinged as him , if i recall right his previous work was stress testing games

I believe it was more general QA testing, but good QA testers know where to find stress points.

No one was burned to death at the Salem witch trials. I forget the exact number, but only for like 50 people or 70 people died and they either died in jail, hung to death, and one was squished to death between two planks of wood with a bunch of rocks stacked on top it took three days to crush him, his name was Giles Corey. Whenever people think about which trials they think about the European witch trials, which people were burned at the stake during, the more you know.

    • @garrettpridemore5758
      @garrettpridemore5758 3 месяца назад +14

They stacked rocks on top of Giles Corey to try to draw a confession out of him that he was a which, so that the city could take all of his possessions, and none of them would go to his family. But he was so done with it that he just said more weight whenever they tried to ask for a confession so they never got a confession and his family got to keep all of his property.

While it is loose on the reality of who was and why those people were involved, the game Little Hope essentially recreates the Salem debacle and the various forms of torture/execution that took place.
Additionally, the vast majority of witch trials in Europe were in Germany and Switzerland and the standard form of execution was hanging, not burning. Not that acts of mob justice leading to burning didn't happen, after all it's a lot faster and easier for a group of common labourers to build a pyre than it is to build gallows.

In the past people didn't clean the house or the furniture which resulted in pests who brought diseases that had no cures at the time, but "witches" had most of the time a cat who killed the pests or a broom to clean the house getting rid of the pests in the process, they also lived in the woods in some stories which made them familiar with healing, sensitizing and repellent herbs which gave them the ability to grow old and not die like the rest that's why they were depicted as ugly in stories.
As a result of them never getting sick or dying from sickness while living in isolation outside the city, they were called witches. Witches who tried to migrate to the town were beheaded or drowned after a couple of years and witches who continued to live in isolation grew old and had rumors made about them which eventually led to the purging of the witch.

People weren't bored. They were paranoid. The two most common mental illnesses in ancient times were schizo and anger issues. They were too busy surviving to get bored.

Sitting on the raft, terminally bored: "God I wish I had a witch to burn..." Later, building the infinity board: "Haha, now I am the witch!" Long pause. Slowly douses himself in gasoline. Slowly pulls out a cigarette lighter...

According to our friend, Mike Brady from Oceanliner Designs, ships used to dump their waste into the ocean all the time. When it was just a couple hundred, the difference wasn't really noticeable. But when it's a couple thousand, well, then you get sick, infected fish and sick, infected people. That's why regulations were made in the 1970s, and ships started to treat their waste water before ejecting it into the ocean, in designated zones.
A single person on a raft isn't gonna have that kind of issue, though.
And yes, the timing _does_ mean that pretty much no ocean liner, including _Titanic_ , did not treat their waste. It was more of a cruise ship thing, because of the technology and the lack of regulations. By the 1970s, ocean liners were already a dying breed, being replaced by airliners. With two exceptions, which is now one.

7:06 funny story but in Rus’(predecessor of Russia)there were no witch hunts as far as we know (but sometimes you could just send someone you don’t like to the monastery) and it’s might be one of the reason why in Europe Slavic girls considered most beautiful

The pastimes they had in the past, there were ball games, Croquet and things like that, there was game hunting, fishing, cards games like poker, board games like chess, dice games, horse racing, story telling then there were the big three staples drinking, fighting and the horizontal tango.
We humans have been able to entertain ourselves long before technology, provided we weren't to busy surviving.
