Nice one Luke and Tom, I've finally caught up with part 2! Really enjoyed the walk with you guys and I'm loving the minimal setups. The cathedral was something else mate. You 2 have an obsession with camping on grave sites 🤣 All the best mate and thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks Steve! Yes, the cathedral is a work of art, could have spent alot longer in there. I think we do too, not sure why we keep ending up on grave sites, must just be very comfy!
Eh mi amigo! It's great to see part two, been waiting with great anticipation for it and it didn't disappoint. It looked like a lot of fun.. be nice to see the sun every now and then wouldn't it? 👍
Excellent part 2 Luke! Plenty of interest in this walk. I’ve never been to Canterbury Cathedral...I’m going to try and get there sometime soon. Shame about the scaffolding, but it actually helps with gauging the size of the building. Hope your leg has improved...I noticed you seemed to be limping a bit earlier on in the video.
You'd love it, plenty to see in and around the Catherdral. Canterbury is a bit of a gem too! Suppose you are right, it is quite tall - 72 meters in fact! Yes, leg is better...I just walked it off!!
I enjoyed this Luke - interesting to see the walk later in year to when I did it in spring. I really like your easy going approach. Do you want to join a hike in April - I’ll be doing another stretch of Thames Path but will be out in countryside. Let me know 👍
I've walked from Canterbury to Dover many times as a day walk. And I've done Wye to Dover as a day walk. I've yet to do the Broughton lees to Canterbury bit. Next on my list!
Its free to get in the Cathedral if you turn up with your backpack and say you have just walked the Pilgrims Way- I even got a blessing from the Assistant Archbishop of Canterbury for completing the Pilgrims Way
@@wildstagadventures Thanks, later this year I will be adding the Pilgrims Way, which runs alongside the North Downs Way, I did the Pilgrims Way and South Downs Way back to back last year, I shall be watching your vids too
Damn guys you walked right passed my place on this part of the NDW. If I'd of known you were coming you could of camped out in me back yard and had a morning brew made for ya. Lol. If you're ever doing anything down this way again drop me a message and I'll join ya in ya quest... PS Liked & Subscribed.
@@wildstagadventures I live one street off Pilgrims road which is the road going up the hill that takes you out of Canterbury and heads into the fields.
Good stuff, well done despite the weather! I especially love the Cathedral footage and info
Thanks! Glad you liked it! It is a magnificent building!
Well done Luke. Great viewing. look forward to further walks hopefully in better weather for you.
Thanks Julie, yes me too. We are now officially in spring, so hopefully it will warm up soon!
Nice video luke and tom well done any plans on walking the saxon shoreway that would be really interesting cheers
Thank you! We have been speaking about other walks. It is just lock down permitting at the moment, hence we cannot meet up!
