Slim chance. The databases are actually small. It only works if people that are closely related have submitted their DNA , and have opted in. Yes that is correct, the database only contains people that opt in. So one company could have 200 million people they have tested, but maybe only 5 million have opted in to the geneology database. So all the companies combined could have tested 2 billion people, and maybe less than 10% opted in. There has literally been a grand total of just 318 matches to criminals using DNA geneology. So it is a very slim chance they solve this with DNA geneology.
They hosted a big Christmas party before the horrific murder. Perhaps you are right. However if you mean that they are guilty or are covering for someone where is your proof? How does somebody break into a house sexually assaulted a child and write a ransom note then decide to kill her . Leave her in the house instead of taking her and leave and nobody wakes up? I never wanted to believe the family did it, but an intruder seems so far fetched
Have you ever heard of any serial killer.?? Also The cops hid THE DNA EVIDENCE Clearing the whole family!! Then HID the evidence of the man that broke into the house of another family FROM THE SAME DANCE STUDIO.... AND HID IN THE HOUSE.... AND ATTACKED THEIR DAUGHTER TOO. ... Dad was gone! Mom Was Home Alone. SHE HEARD HIM. SHE CHASED HIM OFF WITH PEPPER SPRAY. And S O M E H O W THESE. IDIOTS NEVER SAW A CONNECTION. WTF.
Why was the DNA compromised?? Well let’s see, the dad picked up his daughter’s body and moved her to a different part of the house… Maybe that’s got something to do with it?!
And that's one of many reasons why this DNA thing is a total joke. The reason they pursue it is to ensure the case is never solved so they can milk this mystery out from here to eternity.
Yeah y’all failed to mention in that whole piece that Ramsey PAID for the documentary to be produced!!! And why was the DNA compromised; well, let’s see, Ramsey picked up his daughter’s body and moved her to a different part of the house for one thing. By the way, more than half the time the killer is a member of the family or otherwise known to the victim!!
So because he picked up and moved his little girl that caused DNA to be found under her nails and in her underwear? I don't understand your reasoning because that does not make sense.
The police failed to search the basement and the reason dad found the body was the police told him to look around the house to check for anything that looked odd. (According to the documentary). The fact that the police did not search is well established and indicates shoddy policing.
I cooked in a Boulder restaurant that was co-owned by John Ramsey. I made his dinner one night...chicken marsala. A co-worker told me that JonBenet used to come in with her family. They didn’t submit the clothes they were wearing till December 1997. Why? Why the Ramsey’s never took a polygraph? When they said so many lies on national TV at the same time! John why you never took the polygraph if you’re innocent? Why patsy never took the polygraph?
Just because they were in the house doesn't mean that they did it!!! They didn't do it!!! Pd should leave their pride at home and solve this crime! How long do these people have to wait for the answers??!! Bp is incompetent.
Exactly that They never looked for other suspects they always suspected John & Patsy and to maybe some extent Burke. They never once considered anybody else.
Too bad they didn't ask the right questions back then when it was the proper time too bad they let the family take over the investigation instead of having some experienced detectives working on it
The house was over 6,000 square feet. You had 3 floors and the basement, so that is 4 levels. The house was very oddly laid out as well.....twists, turns, little rooms all over. The Ramseys master bedroom was on the top floor. Pretty sure they could not hear anything going on several floors below them. So that is how they did not know what was going on in their own house.

This must be living HELL for Mr. Ramsey. I hope he keeps searching for his daughter until the day he dies. Maybe they should try to find DNA on the ransom note. the killer must've wrote it
I sure hope he gets justice. Idk makes you wonder if it was an officer at the time who did it; with so much mishandling going on. It's similar to my friend's sisters case she went missing and I don't doubt that her killer/rapist/ stepfather paid off the local police then FBI got involved solved it right away.
I believe it involved a cop, or wealthy person's family member... or maybe a family member of a cop or prominent figure. The fact that they refused FBI's help more than once always felt wrong to me. Like they didn't want another agency to put the pieces together, for who they believe did it. Hell, for all WE know, that night, perhaps some cop or prominent figure saw a family member all freaking out and they admitted they killed a little girl, and it was deliberately and actively covered up..even decades later. Like the corruptness of the town where the Murdaughs are.
The dad obviously isn’t stupid. He moved the body immediately and many say purposely. This whole job just keeps pointing back to John and Patsy. The fact that someone intended to write a ransom note and didn’t have it prepared and used pen and paper from the house is insane. Then it is the longest ransom note in history and placed in an odd spot. Patsy sweater fibers were found all over the adhesive side of the tape covering her mouth. Cobwebs intact over a broken window. John almost immediately guiding the officer to the back room in the basement after being informed they are doing an entire full sweep of the residence etc. IDK maybe it’s me but true crime sleuths are being gaslit by John Ramsey and he knows that DNA isn’t coming back to a middle of the night creeper who just happened to be the worlds luckiest guesser and used his bonus amount. And keep in mind how uncooperative the Ramsey’s initially were during initial investigatory steps, we are all quick to chastise the police (who no doubt did a bad job through inexperience as a byproduct of working in a virtual crime less extremely high end neighborhood), but the Ramseys were a major problem from second one. By almost every account John Ramsey was acting bizarre all morning, now many will contribute that to “well his child was missing” but let’s not forget Chris Watts’s odd behavior the morning his wife and kids vanished, there is a clear difference in acting odd from guilt and pressure to acting odd from being devastated and shocked. The media just takes stories and run with it for clicks so not trusting accurate reporting - the same media that made people believe Kamala had an actual shot.
You make some very good points that's for sure. I still think it was a police officer or somebody in law enforcement. But I can't argue with your points either.
@ thanks and i honestly don’t think it’s the case at all. I actually had to do a long college research paper on this and I have worked as a big city investigator for 24 years. Trying to be objective as possible, I just think that note was so damning. I’m not against the theory that John was caught molesting or doing something odd and the wife panicked with him and they devised a crash course coverup, which essentially has worked. The Boulder PD did a horrific job maintaining the scene, which certainly contributed to this not having any resolve, but again too much just keeps pointing back. There was never any real bodily fluid DNA, the note was most likely written by Patty and again I don’t think there has ever been any ransom note written that length in history and certainly not that was already prepared. Also, the 911 call was extremely odd, along with John’s behavior. That does all account and add up towards logical thinking that the parents did have involvement. The Ramsey’s were extremely uncooperative from the start with law enforcement, prior to everyone just pointing their fingers and yelling police coverup. Again, maybe I’m wrong, but I just can’t see it
So you didn't watch the video where law enforcement admits to the case being handled improperly? It seems you know nothing about the case but feel free to slander people.
@@justmejenny7986 no I watched but obviously you didn’t read my comment at all and just responded with an idiotic comment. The police did a terrible initial investigation, no one denied that. So all the companies combined could have tested 2 billion people, and maybe less than 10% opted in. There has literally been a grand total of just 318 matches to criminals using DNA geneology. So it is a very slim chance they solve this with DNA geneology.

It’s also toxic to accuse parents who lost their child too.

RIP little one.
They are setting the stage for a genealogy test and then say some random man who didn't really do it did it and he died back in the 90's. Watch and see it's all one big stage play and has been from the beginning.
How does somebody break into a house sexually assaulted a child and write a ransom note then decide to kill her . Leave her in the house instead of taking her and leave and nobody wakes up?
I never wanted to believe the family did it, but an intruder seems so far fetched
The real question is who was comfortable to go in the house do that to the girl and leave out of everybody they know that's a small bubble
WTF.

Okay, police officers, step it up already. Your true incompetence shows
Why was the DNA compromised?? Well let’s see, the dad picked up his daughter’s body and moved her to a different part of the house… Maybe that’s got something to do with it?!
And that's one of many reasons why this DNA thing is a total joke. The reason they pursue it is to ensure the case is never solved so they can milk this mystery out from here to eternity.
Police allowed Mrs Ramsey to clean counter tops, police allowed a bunch of people in the house during investigation

He doesn't have to relive it. He can go live a quiet life and not appear at "CrimeCon" to discuss his dead daughter for money.
What's your source for this? Because I couldn't find that he paid for this anywhere. In fact, he declined being paid for his time
So because he picked up and moved his little girl that caused DNA to be found under her nails and in her underwear? I don't understand your reasoning because that does not make sense.
THE DNA DOES NOT MATCH THE FAMILY.
The police failed to search the basement and the reason dad found the body was the police told him to look around the house to check for anything that looked odd. (According to the documentary). The fact that the police did not search is well established and indicates shoddy policing.

The Ramsey’s were indicted by the grand jury but DA a friend of a friend of John Ramsey shut that down! The Ramsey’s didn’t agree to interview with the police till July 1997. Why? John why you never took the polygraph if you’re innocent? Why patsy never took the polygraph?

Just because they were in the house doesn't mean that they did it!!! They didn't do it!!! Pd should leave their pride at home and solve this crime! How long do these people have to wait for the answers??!! Bp is incompetent.
Exactly that They never looked for other suspects they always suspected John & Patsy and to maybe some extent Burke. They never once considered anybody else.
Too bad they didn't ask the right questions back then when it was the proper time too bad they let the family take over the investigation instead of having some experienced detectives working on it
How can you not know what's happening in your own house?
Exactly. Was there no nanny? He left 2 kids unattended?
The house was over 6,000 square feet. You had 3 floors and the basement, so that is 4 levels. The house was very oddly laid out as well.....twists, turns, little rooms all over. The Ramseys master bedroom was on the top floor. Pretty sure they could not hear anything going on several floors below them. So that is how they did not know what was going on in their own house.
@@foster83fulnobody left any children alone in the house......where did you hear that?
Boulder Police really botched that "investigation" - incompetence is too kind of a word to describe that agency.
The documentary is very good, although the story is so sad. It's terrible that is not solved yet.

Because he's a narcissist

There was evidence it could've been her brother or even the dad.
What evidence? You better tell somebody, Mister detective genius. The family was cleared decades ago.
The police botched the investigation from the beginning, most likely someone from the police force.

I am so sick of them calling her six year old beauty queen. It objectifies her! Call her a sweet little six year old that tragically lost her life
I believe it involved a cop, or wealthy person's family member... or maybe a family member of a cop or prominent figure.
