These dresses are always so much better than anything they have at Kleinfeld in the US. By leaps and bounds, and they are so much more affordable too (even taking into consideration the exchange rate.) On top of that, Gok really takes into consideration what the brides want and always picks an amazing dress, and he makes it an emotionally transformative experience. Say Yes To The Dress in the US really needs to take a lesson from Gok!
Even in the more recent episodes, all the dresses at Kleinfeld look like they’re from 2014. They all seem outdated.

The Essence of Australia dresses are always so beautiful 😍 but yes, all the dresses are so much more elegant than Klienfelds (and that's a direct comparison to the up to date videos too, not just the ones from 10+ years ago)
It really does seem they are quite a bit less. Most of the dresses seem to be under 3000

I get where the mom is coming from. Seeing our daughters is so much different than how we saw ourselves at their age. With the wisdom we’ve attained we see the overall picture, the beauty of the whole person that we couldn’t see in ourselves at that age. As women we focus so much in our imperfections, and only see later how beautiful we were. I know I don’t speak for everyone but this is what I see.

Gok pins up the dresses rather than clamping them as it gives the bride a better idea of how the dress will fit when it's properly tailored to her body
