Great news! Challenge tv here in the UK have began to repeat this great show right back from the beginning in 2005. Now we have something else to watch instead of "The Chase" and "Tipping Point" every evening. I just wish they would move it to a later slot like they do with "Millionaire" Great stuff.
There is no way in hell I would have turned down £101k on a 50/50 chance, but it was a good watch. And hey, he walked away £20k richer, so hardly terrible.
Fair play to the lad, it is a game of wits as well and maybe a bit of poker face needed yeah he lost £80k but I respect this guy for staying true to his game plan of going all the way, anyone calling him greedy just shut up it’s a game at the end and you play it how you want
Even in 2024, £20,000 is a lot of money to a lot of peope. Today that £20,000, is £19,710 + 69.pence more than i have ( I have £280+31pence ,) and, I will have to make it last for another 23 days.
What a game indeed! Morris crafted an epic conclusion in homage to Tegen Roberts, who became the fourth person to win on Deal's game show. If Morris had replicated Suzanne Mulholland, the third winner, and chosen to swap, they would have been showered with confetti.
Way to go Morris, even though he didn't win the jackpot, but he has £20,000 and it's still a hell of a lot of money. He told Noel from the start that he wanted to go down the history as the first player to win £250,000. I admire his guts and his promise. but £20,000 is still a lot of money.
I gotta admit when I saw this episode all those years ago and he ended up with only 20k instead of 101k I was laughing my ass off. 😂😂😂😂 serve him right
Yes I never seen this but I would deal at 101k. It's crazy he even had the option to change box's but declined. Definitely losing 81k he didn't sleep too well must have played on his mind for a long time. That 20 k is well n truly gone after almost 19 years later but the 101 k he could have purchased a house outright
I see a lot of comments in-between, saying they feel bad for Morris, others say "he should have dealt" and "he should have swapped" and "he was greedy," that sort of stuff. To those who say he should have dealt or swapped, it's easy for you to say that...once all the boxes have been opened. The thing is, Deal or No Deal is a game of chance. The only person who knows what's inside those boxes (or cases, since I'm in the U.S.) is the independent adjudicator or third party person, who seals each box/case with the values in private to ensure no one else knows, not even the host, and not even the Banker. Another astonishing truth is, you don't get it if you don't go for it. We have had some brave players go for big bucks here in America's Deal, though some did falter. For the UK, Morris was a brave man to take the game all the way through with the 250K still in play. I do feel bad for him that he was not the first, but for him to play it through and take a chance to prove what Deal can be about, that was gutsy. And yes, the Banker may have won the battle...but Morris won the war.
Adam Nicholson who cares,he should have taken d 100100,fuckn greed it would have been different if he had 100000 and the 250000 left-greed ,greed greed greed greed,I came here to play the game to the end-so what especially when you come from a low paid job,I don't get it!!!!!!!!
10,000 is way enough for me. Top lad. I Would have done the exact samething. It's only if it's a blue and 250,000 left then I would deffo say deal but if it's £20,000 to £100,000 upwards and £250,000 I am saying no deal
101k is a lot to risk but realistically that’s one of the few situations where you can really go for the 250k is when you still have a sizable fallback amount like 20k so I definitely think it was worth the risk
Even though he gambled £101K, he went away a winner as he hadn't lost anythingas he never had it in the first place, and rewarded the £20K in the box tax free, that is a heck of a lot of money for an hours work.
Also after such an epic game his place in Deal Folklore was assured amazingly he was the first male to go for the 250k. It took 5 years for the next male to go for it in Gurpal but like Morris he fell short and went away with a fiver after another epic game. The day after Edmondo mentioned Morris in reflecting on Gurpal's epic game
The show was a mugs game that was purely by chance of winnings, or make the right choice at the right time - addictive gambling - stuffed up if you count your chickens before there hatched.
notgrillo collector/ gamer It’s easy for you to say but if he won £250K then you’re gonna be saying something like “Congratulations he needed all that money!”
What if box 16 was already taken by another contestant, that had significant importance to them,I just find it hard to envisage two or more fighting for the same box-as he always asks a contestant that they picked a certain numbered box!! Rigged beyond doubt-Duz-T
DID THE £20 K COME WITH A FREE WHEELBARROW ..... So he could carry his balls out of the studio in the wheelbarrow. Such a shame Lady Luck does not respect this level of bravery.
Imagine there’s a penny in one box and one trillion pounds in the other box. If the banker offers 499 billion you’d have to say deal. Even if it is less than halfway and mathematically wrong to make such a choice.
the banker never offered the actual value, never - Morris tactic here of shouting in celebration "he wouldn't take 100K" earned him 21K in that moment in my view. Banker was going to offer 80K and after hearing that increased to 101K.. i promise to you this will be exactly what happened
Good game but you realistly you wouldn't turn down that much money anyone knows that only get to play the game once in your life most people wouldn't even get that sort of offer in life guts to carry on like but I've got to say it pure greed to be fair fact
I remember watching this, doesn't feel like 10 years ago.
Almost 14 years ago now. Can't believe how quick the years have gone :(
now 17 - video lasts forever, the Golden Balls stealers must hate it

I adore this guy's energy
Rhyming dream with dream, such poetic brilliance
Excellent show, the poetry was fascinating, well done all. :)
Watching this again in 3/19.
I first watched 5/06
Time flies
Baada Ducaale Me too
crazy
I so wanted this guy to win...
The opening of box n°20 was one of the best box openings ever
I remember watching this on TV. When he didn’t win I changed the channel so fast I wanted to cry for him 😂
Such a sad end to a great game! You did good Morris!

I did watched this programme somewhat fifteen years ago.
What a brave and courageous player but that is one hell of a risk with a life-changing amount of money.Incredible self-belief.
Incredible level of stupidity and greed.
Yhhhhhhhhhhhhhnbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb
That jump he was gona do at the end haaaaaaa
There is no way in hell I would have turned down £101k on a 50/50 chance, but it was a good watch. And hey, he walked away £20k richer, so hardly terrible.
Bad luck for Morris, but he did gave his shot to go all the way!
Fair play to the lad, it is a game of wits as well and maybe a bit of poker face needed yeah he lost £80k but I respect this guy for staying true to his game plan of going all the way, anyone calling him greedy just shut up it’s a game at the end and you play it how you want
And who is calling him greedy? The voices in your head?
well said, not many people would understand what its like.
Noel gave him every option to deal and to swap
I so miss this show hey
He had to take the £101k, it was guaranteed money. He purely went for the fame option and that was a massive gamble 🤷🏿♂️🤦🏾♂️
Any sane person would and would not care too much about 250 you got 101 k for free
4 years after this he appeared on an episode of 101 ways to leave a game show and was the first to be eliminated
Even in 2024, £20,000 is a lot of money to a lot of peope.

It's gone after 19 years almost. The 101k was guaranteed house paid
12:50 and 19:17 are effects that are used in the ds game
I don't think Morris was greedy, just blindly chasing the £250k for the fame
I remember Morris he’d been on so so many game shows in that era
It's what I was thinking,, he didn't seem to care about the money at all. He wanted the buzz of being a 250k winner.
I gotta admit when I saw this episode all those years ago and he ended up with only 20k instead of 101k I was laughing my ass off. 😂😂😂😂 serve him right
Typical c*cky peeps, they never learn. He really thought he was the chosen one.

He forfeited £81k because he let emotion and greed take over. I find it hard to have sympathy. 101k is pretty much always a deal there...
@@onlyweatherlol93 I know why you have no sympathy for him I never had sympathy for someone who enjoyed a 3 week holiday and won 20grand

Morris was the second ever player to try going for the £250,000 after declining the final offer.
Even though he gambled £101K, he went away a winner as he hadn't lost anythingas he never had it in the first place, and rewarded the £20K in the box tax free, that is a heck of a lot of money for an hours work.

Should’ve dealt that final offer. Ridiculous gamble. I was screaming deal.

Hello mate, do you have the episode of Gary winning £1 from the same season?
He feel the box number 7 is lucky..is he think to change it
Good gamble
After all these years still no intelligence needed to play this game ,pick the right box you win ,pick the wrong box you lose,
The biggest ledge on the game
This guy did 101 ways to leave a gameshow episode 1 but he got eliminated first round - don’t believe me?, check it out

I love this show more than other shows the love everything
Dummy should have taken the 100K.
@itsmike and foolish.

That competition at the end completely ruined the climax of the game.
Still…20 grand mind, good on him

81K gambled to win 230K on a 50.50
If I was the banker, I would’ve offered him £135,000 at the end. It’s halfway between £20,000 and the quarter mil.
