How did these teams qualify for European championship.
It was also a great example of the problem with this format. You cant fault Slovenia for playing like they did especially against England, but if they were in Group A they couldnt be sure if 3 Points will be enough. Now they already knew exactly what they need. Again, it is not them to blame but this format gives an unfair advantage to the later groups for no reason.

I'm fuming at the English team, and I'm German. Please sack Southgate and get a system that actually works. How such a great set of players can repeatedly perform so poorly is beyond me.
Im Polish, I should be infuriated at my own team, but let me tell you, at least my eyes havent bleached when watching Poland, they did during those 3 English games. Its unbelievable to me, they clearly have the best names in Europe, by far, love to see those lads play in the Prem. And yet, under Southgate...Its just sad, really how he butchers that all.

This, together with me loving the Prem, some affection towards British culture, makes me watch England games a lot. Your team has been utter boring for years. I remember thinking to myself same during Euro2020. And I totally haven't seen much criticism at all before now. Mark did criticise, yes, but he was in a small minority.
We, in Poland played ultradefensive, Greek-boring style of play before, absolutely killing off the technique skills of players in the offensive that we have. Nevertheless, with this style of play, we advanced to knockouts during WC, feat not achievable since the 80s. Were our people happy? Totally not, they were fuming, ashamed of the team.
This nation-wide rant brought a manager-change. We had such a situation 2 times actually, during last couple of years. Today, even though, we aint got no knockouts, even though there were managerial mistakes against Austria, there are no such clearly negative emotions cause we see progress and we see normal, not eyes-bleaching style of play. Points will come.
To me its utter stunning that you guys in England keep with Southgate for 8 years, that there was no similar rants in a nation that is 10 times better than us in football terms. It is obvious, he simply had a tone of luck, I mean how many times did he actually face Top teams in tournaments? 4. Only 4- Belgium 18', Germany, Italy 21', France 22'. 3/4 of those games lost. If we count Croatia 18' and 21' its 4/6.

It's only the morning after and i think i can only remember a few seconds of actual play (the disallowed goal). I remember the substitutions on paper but the actual game just washed over me like a sea of nothingness
Bellingham plays as a false 9 for Madrid, with Vini Jnr and Rodrygo either side, coming narrow. England play a completely different system, so Bellingham doesn't work in the 10. Drop him into centre midfield with Rice and let him dictate play from deep, play Foden in the 10 and Gordon on the left, then replace Southgate with a shoehorn, and this team improves dramatically.

For tomorrow, only 2 games matter for England if they don't want to face the Netherlands. If Georgia OR Czechia win their respective game, then England will NOT play the Netherlands. If Georgia AND Czechia both lose or draw their respective games, then England WILL play the Netherlands. Hope this makes it easier to understand.
