  • Confirmation e-mails are annoying!
But they exist for a reason. A few of them actually.
    1. Legal and Ethical: They prevent a user from getting signed up without their permission.
    2. Money: A lot of e-mail newsletter tools charge you once you've passed a certain threshold of subscribers. Don't waste users on bots or useless accounts.
    3. Practical: If your list gets filled with spam addresses, you'll get penalized and users who want to receive your e-mails might not get them!
So, instead of just sending a standard "Please confirm your e-mail address" message to the user who just trusted you with their e-mail address, give them a little more. Send them an e-book, a coupon, or even a cute thank you note.
Mailchimp makes it a little tricky to find where to customize these e-mails, and we show you where to find it in this video.
And now you've got loyalty instead of annoyance. ☺️
