24:33 is so true. My coworkers here start calling out after they get paid and have all their bills settled. They be like, “I’ve paid my rent, bought groceries, and filled up my car so I’m good for the month” and then proceed to take days off. Like they don’t save or want extra money. That’s their basic mentality, being satisfied with so little and never striving for more
Over here, they don’t usually open on Sundays. And the office hours are pretty much the same. Restaurants stay open later though, and some offer 24 hours service.
Nobody ever drinks tap water here except in school. We have fountains that we just put our mouths too and water springs out. A pack of bottle water keeps getting more and more expensive though. From $1.50 to $4. Be like say I go soon start to dey sample my tap water
😂😂😂I guess we’re lucky when it comes to the bus aspect. Our buses actually have live location. So there’s an app called “TransLoc” and we use it to check the bus arrival time. You can actually see the bus moving and all the different stops, you can tell where it is and how far away it is. Super accurate and helpful especially in winter cuz it’s cold af out there
Ahhh Friday wey be TGIF for my country… shops go still open till like 10pm not to talk of restaurant 😂😂 I think Nigeria built us to be resistant to fatigue, it’s why most people can take on multiple jobs and still be fine Nigeria I hail thee😂😂🙌
The seasonal change still messes with my head. It’s 6:44am right now and it’s giving regular 8:30am vibes. Then by 5:30pm, everywhere would be looking so dark
The email checking is real, especially with school. They finna kill us with all that much mail. Even on weekends, I’ve said it that schools and corporations should refrain from contacting their students/workers on their downtime days.
Prescription issues here are very serious too. Pharmacies won’t give you any drugs if it isn’t prescribed. You can find painkillers over the counter at regular stores though. It’s so annoying though, the last time I went to Walgreens I asked for new test strips cuz mine had finished. They told me it was $30 w/o insurance, but with my insurance it’d be free. Then they said they can’t give it to me unless my doctor prescribes it. I came for my pills which they gave yet they won’t give me test strips for the same thing I’m getting drugs for.
😂😂😂😂I’m loving this. Ore❤❤

Nigerians can take on anywhere, the survival rate is high😂
Our buildings are actually really good looking. Even average houses don’t look bad. I wonder if the school buildings there would look better
Trust me most of these things aren’t like that in London, I’m really shock to hear that but the old building is true🤣🤣🤣
Okay till I visit London then😂

I don’t want to get up before 11 because while the clock says something the weather is saying something else

House sharing is norm here jare😁😁😁
I don’t want to share😩
That’s the NATO phonetic alphabet. I once read a book based on that years ago, and my dad uses it sometimes.
It’s really nice but I don’t think I want to learn it😂

Aspirin is like the Nigerian paracetamol..e Dey Dey everywhere I guess
Post code? Never heard of that, ours is Zipcode. And isn’t more important than the actual address
Over here it is. They ask for it before the address itself
