Thanks for a heartfelt reaction to this, Brad. I always get something more each time I listen to this instrumental. This time I really appreciated the interchange between Tomo-Zo and yuri, reminding me of the three-way interchange in Rush's YYZ, which never fails to move me after decades of listening to it. These four ladies "got it," and when you get the complete band with the uber- talented Hana and ever-energetic Angie in there, the talent is . . . almost . . . well, you get the picture.

I've been extremely addicted to Gacharic Spin since I discovered them nearly a decade ago. Stunningly great musicians who still know to focus on good songs rather than showing off, cover an incredible variety of genres, and have an absolute blast doing it.
I think you would love this old clip of them playing their Latin-Jazz-Pop-Rock track "Ganabanba Dancer", the solo section in it is one of the coolest things I've ever seen, executed effortlessly: ruclips.net/video/dkRXyApnteU/видео.html

That version of Ganbanba Dancer has probably become my favourite live video by them and I watch it regularly. So I recommend that one as well.
It's still with 2 of the dancers from one of their previous iterations and one of them is actually on keyboards to give the keyboardist a spot in front of the crowd, but it shows very well how much energy and fun they have on stage and how they get the crowd involved in their shows. This is one of their songs that was completely out of my comfort zone and that I have fallen in love with just by their live performance (and it's not the only Gacharic Spin song that did this).

Heck yeah! Thanks for referencing this with the link. I had come across it earlier in passing but did not remember in what song that incredible duo between Nenne and Oreo was. This is a keeper. She was/is every bit the dancer that beloved Arisa was, who herself was a tough act to follow. I saw a recent video of Nenne's solo work and was very impressed. Multi-track mastery and mellow, subtle musical artistry. It was a shame that she had to leave GS on account of the decibels. Hearing loss is every musician's nightmare.

This song is a real treat since Tomo-zo finally gets to show off. She has become one of my favorite guitarists but unfortunately she is often too low in the mix and her well crafted solos are too short. And yes, this song is dripping in the jazz-rock genre that I listened to back in the 70"s and 80's but of course with Gacharic Spin's magic touch.
These women are seriously some of the best musicians that I have listened to and that goes back to my days as a teen male growing up with the rock gods in bands such as Cream, the Who, the Stones, Zeppelin, Santana etc. I have said this before, time for them to move aside and let some of these phenomenal Japanese female rock goddesses have a seat at the throne.

Also, if you’d like another Gacharic Spin to react to from their jazzy end of the spectrum then I recommend “Rabbit Hole” also from the same live show.

Howdy Brad, I've also been bitten by the J-Rock/Metal bug, and would like to recommend you to check out Nemophila's new album, "Seize the Fate".

Since jumping down the "J-hole", I'm finding that I don't go re-listen or play along to the "old classics" nearly as often, as these folks have brought musicianship to a whole new level.
Band-Maid, Lovebites, Nemophila, Gacharic Spin, Unlucky Morpheus, Ningen Isu, etc. make up the vast majority of my "jammin' time" these days, and I'm wondering if you also feel as though you're going through a metamorphosis?
I'm 61yo and never dreamed I'd get so hooked on music that's usually not even sung in English. lol
    Happy New Year!

Not the style they play the most and they did this without 2 of their vocalists (they were standing at the side for this one during the stream). They do tend to mix a lot of different genres in their songs.
They were only playing unreleased songs during this whole set, this track is clearly a Tomo-zo song (the lead guitarist). She usually gets a song on almost all albums where she can show of her skills as she typically is a little lower in the mix. It also shows off Koga's bass playing although she gets spots to shine in most songs with how bass driven Gacharic Spin tends to be.
    Thanks for the reaction.
Get better soon and a happy new year!
