Love it when Andy kicks in the Centaur and the Rat together. Such a brilliant tone. And Fuzz Factory is perfectly fine by me, and really it's like handling any fuzz. It's all about how you EQ it. Big Muffs don't really come alive until you start properly getting the amp into serious overdriven territory. Then from here, feel free to adjust it how you wish. I'd personally choose a fuzz over any distortion box any day. Fuzz has a little bit more character to it IMO. Hail the fuzz! :)
@Guitarisforgrins And some people love it for the very same reasons. Glorious noise instead of normal, boring sounds. So different strokes for different folks.
Thanks Andy! I've been waiting for some good videos on the g-system since I'm thinking of switching to this setup. It looks like you are you going directly into the front of the amp. Do you plan on showing a 4 cable method setup with the mod/delay effects in the amps loop with the dirt pedals out front? Theoretically you'd notice a tonal quality difference... do you?
@Guitarisforgrins - You're clearly an Anti-Fuzzite. PGS will not tolerate that sort of prejudiced tonal bigotry. We bid you good day, sir : ) -PGS Crew
Hey, Andy! I have three preamp pedals (just like the V-Twin) which I love and I'm planning on getting a G-system. Can I plug each of them in one loop insert and assign each to a different preset so as to direct the signal form the G-system straight to a power amp then to the cabs? Regards from Brazil! =)
The Fuzz Factory freaks out if it receives a buffered signal, and generally if it doesn't "see" your pickups immediately after them. It sounds a bit uncomfortable in that loop.
I build fuzz pedals for a living and I dislike the fuzz factory also...its great for messing around with noises in your room or something but its hard to get a great fuzz sound out of it in my opinion.
Good practical explanation. I think putting each pedal is a diff preset is the icing on the cake!
Man, when you kick in that Centaur at about three minutes, what a tone. . .
It takes a real man to handle his Fuzz the way Andy does.
AWESOME. I was just thinking. Fuzz Factory, Rat and G-System. And then I saw this vid. Thanks PGS!
The sound with the RAT sounds very Gilmourish. Nice!

this multi processor has some awsome presets !
Fuzz is cool. Distortion is cool. Overdrive is cool. Yeah its pretty much all cool!

centaur and rat sounded cool
Cool Strat... stock pickups or something different?

Nice playing. I've always loved your style Andy! Whens the next Scoop?
@DrEviscerator666 You're joking right? There is another set of switches below that control what is turning off/on above.

@raconei Do you use your midi footswitch or the 1/4 ext switch?
If you use your midi cable where do yo plug it in? Thank for the reply. This helps me.
can you do another demo of the G-System using a Les Paul? I personally like the fatter and richer sound from the LP! lol cool vid, though!! :-)

How big is this? I mean, to see how much space left in the pedalboard is available...?
Can I channel switch with EVH III? (3 channel)
The EVH III footswitch uses a midi cable not a 1/4 jack.
Man that red design is so sexy
can the 4 loops be created in the G system also?
I thought you had forgotten to turn up the sound on your guitar when you started playing at 2:16.
what kind of cables dose pgs use?
@tolchok89
I thought the same. One switch, then instant Gilmour! :D
I'm not convinced the sound still is not real ...
why dont you just turn the pedal on
it sounds a little thin with all of them engaged.
want so bad but just a few bucks out of my price range
Can't say I'm a fan of that fuzz factory..
it sounds very digital but very kool
@ProGuitarShopDemos No No, I dig fuzz and use it all the time. I just don't like that specific one. To each their own, that's just my take.
@ProGuitarShopDemos hahaha!!! You guys are funny.
wow you would pick a klon centaur to do this haha

@GuernB2 Core X2
Is it just me or does that sound like crap?
Not a fan of the fuzz factory... Big muffs FTW
Fuzz Factory sounds like dog shit.. -.-
I don't like the fuzz factory at all. Not just in this demo. EVER. There's more noise in it than quality sounds.
possibly the most useless piece of metal on guitargearland
