Thank you Sharon! Only just seen your comment for some reason 🤔. I’ve had a bit of time off RUclips this Christmas but I’ll be coming back strong in the next week or so 🤣
Ha ha....😂😂😂...so so funny. Great unboxing too and lovely things from Hayley again ❤️. Looking forward to seeing what you make from it 👌. I really must go to sleep now 😵.... I'm all caught up 😋💞😘
I like watching the different unboxings to see what each users plans to make with their fabric. I also faithfully watch each user for their personality, since I only subscribe to channels that bring joy. ;)
I hear ya! I definitely only have certain people I like to watch. Only thing is I start to feel like I know them in real life instead of just on RUclips 🤪
You’ve given me a right giggle this morning with your boys, cat and husband starring in your vlog 🤩 Have you seen the Stitch Sisters tutorial for make up bag and also fabric baskets? Brilliant pressie ideas that I may use some of my SHJ fat quarters for. Defo going to make pj bottoms for me in the tartan too ❤️🎄
Ooh no I haven’t Sarah....I’m off for a look now 👀. I’m gunna start trying to make some sort of crafty thing once a month with them and this might help me 👍🏼
I am new to your channel and I love it! You’re talented sewist and your witty. Today’s video included real life moments. Family is such a blessing including the animals. I wish I could get that subscription box in the U.S. Keep the quality content coming my friend.
Your animated comments about dunking biscuits (cookies here in the US) had me laughing! The boys were so cute and I'm glad you didn't edit them out, but the expression on your cat's face when he saw himself...show stealer. 😂 I love watching your blogs. You're a natural. Never know what will happen but I know I'll enjoy it!
The first time I have watched your vlog and I really enjoyed it. I absolutely love your top. I am a serial Agnes sewer but have never considered the puff sleeves - - until now!
Aww thank you 😊. It’s such a good pattern isn’t it! Glad you’ve decided to give the big sleeves a go. I think it’s nice if you want your fabric to stand out a bit 👍🏼
First time I have actually laughed out loud to a sewing vlog, you really are a joy to watch. Your husbands voice 😂😂😂and your kids are adorable. You have just gone to the top of my list of favourite sewing vloggers. Look forward to your next vlog. Your angles top is lovely. Love the sleeve detail. You could make a make up bag or pencil case with fat quarters 😊😊😊😊
Ha ha. Glad to entertain 🤣. That’s only a small snippet of our crazy life 🤪 Thank you for the lovely comment. And yes I’m going to jot down everyone’s recommendations for fat quarter uses and make sure I sew some up 😊
Great vlog, and I'm glad u kept in the footage of yr boys coming in, cos that's life with kids isn't it, and it's nice to see a bit of reality sometimes, keep the vlogs coming I think yr fab xx
Don't worry about the interruptions, they added to the fun (though I understand it's frustrating for you!). Your husband and boys will get used to it. Lovely to see the SHJ box and for ideas for the fat quarters Rosery Apparel has a series of videos of 10 minute projects (which of course don't take only 10 mins, or not for me but they are straightforward) plenty of ideas there. I've made pouches and a couple of craft rolls (for paintbrushes etc) this year. Thanks for the vlog & Merry Christmas x
Thank you so much Sarah. I’m going to take a look at that as I think it would be nice to make some quick craft things with them. And I know what you mean about “10 minutes” 🤣🤣
So much fun! I don’t know how well received they’ll be, it could be a delayed reaction, but I’ve been making soup bowl cozies as gifts. They take 2 x 10 “ squares of fabric plus the same of batting (cotton). They’re to protect hands from hot bowls out of the microwave and would look super in contrasting fabrics. I think people will enjoy them once they figure it out. The pattern is simple and satisfying to make. Maybe try one first. Everything must be 100% cotton to avoid flames. I think your household is exciting enough without a kitchen fire!
Lol, kids and the cats are the best, they made me smile at your fun. Trust, one day you 'll want them to run into your room but they 'll be moved out.... But then Grand kids, yeeaaaaaa.
What a wonderful family ,normality at it's best, Loved it. I've just made a pair of ultimate trousers in that Tartan in wool. Royal Stewart. Never apologize for your children they were fantastic , it was funny.
Hi Linda. I linked it in the description box but just had a look and it’s sold out 😫. I can’t find it on any other website 🙈. If I come across it I’ll Bob back and send another reply 👍🏼
So glad I’ve found you and thank you for being so real! Too many ‘polished and edited’ vlogs out there. Not cutting the boys out was the right decision 👏🏼. This is life, we try and sew with so many other things going on 🤣. Lovely top on you. PS No one ever has enough bunting, that’s what I always do with fat quarters 😂🤣.
Loved this unboxing video - made me giggle. I'm with you on dunking biscuits - I think it should be illegal! Same with bread and gravy - my husband has to wait for me to leave the room before he can mop his gravy up with bread - my stomach's just turned at the thought of it! The fabric will be perfect for some warm and snuggly pj bottoms.
Thank you 😊. I know exactly what you mean but I’ve tasked myself to try and make something every month with them. They’re great for face masks at the mo! People have given me lots of ideas though. Make up bags, headbands, eye masks, make up remover pads, bunting, scrunchies etc. I’m constantly looking on RUclips now for ideas 🤣
Hiya!! I’m really enjoying your videos - you are so lovely to watch 😊. I love to watch other people unboxing their sew Hayley Jane boxes even though i get it too!! I keep hoping someone will tell me what those fastener thingies are 😂
Ha ha Sarah....I’m exactly the same. Still watch other people’s vlogs on the Sew Hayley Jane subscription 🤦🏻♀️ Some lovely people have told me those fastener thingies are self covering buttons! You’re welcome 🤣
@@theyorkshiresewgirl Ah, that’s what they are! Going to be a bit of a fiddly job - best save them for a day when the patience is not being challenged by the tween/teen 😩😂
I'm an American and for the first 6 months I was watching sewing vlogs, I couldn't figure out what Car Key fabric was. Googled it to no avail. Finally figured out it was how British and Australian people say KHAKI! hahaha
I’ve used fat quarters to make inside yoke, cuffs and collar stand on hubs shirt .... and shopping bags .... and little rice bags to give kids as a useable gift bags 🥴
I can't understand why some either edit out or apologize profusely for family interruptions or background noise. We are, after all making videos in our homes, not some fancy studio. I haven't even tried doing videos because I've got a husband and a dog who seem to panic when doors close. 😂 I don't know how parents with actual children even DO anything else.
