- Home made 3/16 tubing straightener for brake lines or fuel lines. Use larger groved rollers for larger lines. Mine works well with 3/16 and 1/4 od lines.
The rollers I used from Amazon, Letool 10pcs PA66 Pulley Bearing roller wheel 6278 Nylon V groove concave ball bearing.

Well done. The only improvement I would add is maybe a couple of light compression springs between the bars to encourage them to stay apart as you load the tube. I’m going to make one based on your design and larger roller suggestion. Thanks so much for sharing. Joel.....
The springs are an excellent idea. I am going to add them. Thank you
How and why do people put a thumbs down on stuff, especially a great idea like this...they must be people who can’t do any better!
Maybe they work for the company's that sell them. Lol
wow! that looks simple and effective, easy to build as well. Thanks for the idea!
Thanks for a new quarantine project!
Thank you for this video !
I will make one for straighten up aluminium tent poles as our scouts keep bending them on our hike tents, mant thanks for the idea!
Awesome! I think I will stop by the hardware store and try to get everything today .thanks for putting this together
👍 great. Thank you
Well done!
Good man I appreciate you Sharing this simple though effective device. I have several old bed springs to straighten for the music wire. Lots of uses..thanks again
Thank you. Glad it helped
I was about to purchase one but I thought... I'll just check RUclips first! Lucky I did as I think even I will be able to manage this. The only improvement I can think of is having some way to secure it to a vise. Great video.
That is a good idea. This one has served me well.
Nice and simple and works. Even the high dollar ones set 99.9% of there life in a tool box, so under twenty bucks to build is not so painful,,hehe! Mite weld on a plate to the one with 3 rollers for a way to clamp it in a vise for 1/4in and up tubbing,,I found a lite coat of oil helps keep keep the rollers from dragging as well. Great and fast build.
Thanks
Great video, I'll be making one instead of buying one!!!
great job
I got some rollers today this is my next project. Great idea
Thanks. It does a good job, I made a second one with wider rollers for larger tubing.
u can make the bar with just a brake flaring tool bar and add your rollers..it easy i did it
great video!
Thanks!
The way I straighten 5/16” is also easy and cheap ! Take a piece of 1/2 “ pvc. 2’ long feed the tube through then through a3/8” steel pipe . Real short pcs not so much , but longer works well
Super!!!!
I have watched and like your product. I want to have one for straighteing the arrow.
Nice. I need to make one for thick gauge wire. I went to buy one and just started laughing.
👍
omg.. you just saved me about $100.. thanks for the video.. awesome stuff..
Thank you. I'm all about saving $$. So I can spend them where I want to.
@@TSRGarage happen to know a pulley that would work for 1/2"? my fuel lines will be 1/2" stainless...
Sorry can't help with that....
@@callofgeorge search "5x26x13mm u groove bearing". I have only found them in nylon but they have a bearing. let me know of anyone finds them in chromed steel or stainless.
Awesome tool. If you Ever get around to working on some brakes on a Celica could you do a video about how to adjust the parking brake?
Thanks. That would be a good video to do.
Good job. I want one.
Thanks.
Awesome job! Thanks! How far apart do you drill the holes or what is the ratio compared to the size of the wheels?
Holes are 2 inches apart
Make another set and mount inline but rotated 90 degrees. It will be so straight it will roll across a flat table with no wobble.
👍
do you think this will work on 3/8 fuel ine or should i up grade to a bigger diameter rollers.. great job by the way!
It might work, but if I was making one for 3/8 I would go bigger on the rollers
I want outer dia 12mm hollow ms pipe straightening machine.. pls give suggestion, which one is best?
Only suggestion I can give is . I used rollers with a groove that is approximately the same size as the outside of the tubing.
Great straighter, any one need tubes, contact us for 3/16 ss tubing for brake lines.
How important do you think it is to have rollers with the proper channel size vs the size of tubing?
I would say the closer the better. But I think if the tubing was a little smaller then the roller it would still straighten it might take an extra pass or two..
@@TSRGarage ok I was wondering about that. Looking on eBay I was thinking about using V groove rollers to use with different size tubing.
🤔 that is a good idea. I think it would work
@@TSRGarage I'm going to try it and if it doesn't work I won't be out too much for it.
im making one too. i cant believe they want 200 for one online
Price pl. Where l can get it.
Not much of a test when the only demo was with a line that was already straight. lol. I guess this is a have faith thing you have there.
It does what it is made to do. Tubing straighteners are made to take the small bends and kinks out of a line. Unrolling the line is easily done by hand.... prior to straightening it.
you only show straightening a piece of tube already reasonably straight what about off the coil how did you straighten the tube before using your tool
Just straightened it off the roll by hand.
@Ryan Ripley whats your problem man just asked a question did not need an idiot to respond
what did you type in Amazon to find the rollers?
Check the video description 👍
what did you use for the rollers
Rollers I used are in the video description
Where did you buy the rollers?
Amozon. check the video description.
At what point in the video do you describe the rollers?
what is the name laker
and what size
? what is "laker" ??
for taking care of that
@@TSRGarage laker is a shop vernacular for a ball bearing in Indonesia. Anyway i was going to make this with an angle iron and I'm thinking of using of the inner race of a ball bearing for the roller parts. Thank you for sharing the video, sir.
This is awesome, but convinced me to spend $100 on the tool.
Did it? Why?
Where's the fun in that LOL. but it is the easy way
++++++++++!!!!!
